I like to defoilate, If I were to pick majority of the fan leaves off of these plants being Auto's, will they react or stress too much? I like to defoil near the end of flower to really push all the focus to the budsites. Happy Growing!

Defoliation is a greatly misunderstood technique. Many try it, screw up horribly, and then write it off. At the end of the day it's like any other training, we're playing with stress reactions of the plant to attempt to influence growth. Don't be afraid to experiment, that's how we learn.

Should be o.k if you do it in the last weeks I wouldn't go too too crazy though.

All of the plants energy is made in the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. Plants need leaves to grow flowes. Remove the leaves and your flowers can suffer. There is no such thing as "removing leaves = focus more energy into flowers".....it is not how plants work.

picking leaves does not make the plant focus on budsites.. this is 100% false bro-science nonsense. You might delay flower in some cases, which may or may not be a benefit. the plant will focus on regrowing enough leaves to properly power itself, unless it's too deep into flower then it'll just be underpowered for no reason other than OCD and some bad suggestions. leaves power growth. Removing them means less energy for cellular reproduction. Less tranpiration, which means less CO2, your limiting factor most of the time unless supplementing it. all the building blocks stored in the leaves? gone. just threw out large portions of your fertilizer you bought and fed.

I’ve never had an issue not one defoliating fan leaves! When they flower, I’ll defoliate periodically throughout the whole flowering stage!
