My seedlings are only 2 weeks old and had burns on the tips of their leaves. I put them in Miracle-Gro seedlings and cuttings. It was marketed as a very light soil with no fertilizer. Water's pH was around 5 to 6. What would have caused Leaf tip burning this early on?

2 possibilities. 1/ The soil was too hot so the 1st stages of leaves burnt but now the plants are acclimated. 2/ The miracle grow is a slow releasing product and maybe too much water did activate too much product and burn the plant.

Anything miracle gro is always dangerous, they normally come with alot of nutrients in hence the name "miracle grow". Just keep watering and hopefully as they'll get larger you won't notice the affected plants anymore. 🌱😊

I would say your issue is the soil is too wet. let it dry out a bit more between waterings. I wouldn't recommend using any miracle grow products. Not to mention Monsanto is the Owner of Scotts brands,Miracle grow, etc. Seedlings don't really need anything other than moisture and light for the first 7- 10 days. Over watering seedlings is the number 1 cause of deficiency issues. Adding extra perlite and coco coir into your soil mix helps create better drainage and allows for more oxygen to reach the roots. Allow your seedlings/plants a bit of time to slightly dry out will force the roots to seek out moisture deeper in the pots. You don't need to water the entire pot every time for seedlings. Try to picture a tiny root system 4-6 inches in diameter this is all you need to water. You would be using 50 -75 ml of water or nutrients each time. Try using a turkey baster when watering seedlings it allows you to use exactly how much you want and put it where you want. Right now the lowest parts of your pots are saturated with water. it's not getting used. Any nutrients from the upper parts of the pot are now concentrated in this are setting up a potential for future issues.Next is your lights Are they really drawing a full 1000 watts? Most companies call them 1000 watts based on the total number of led lights plus their wattage. typically they actually pull a lot less. Seedling are sensitive to too much light and it can cause stunting issues. So always start out with the maximum manufacturers recommendations then slowly lower it a few inches a week especially if the seedlings start to stretch. Lastly PH is very opinionated I run my grows with a 5.8-6.2 ph this allows for the best nutrient absorption for cannabis. 5.8 - 6.5 is also an acceptable range. Miracle grow soils are mostly peat based and peat is very acidic. So your soil ph is really an unknown part of the picture.👍

Your pH is wrong in soil needs to be between 6.5 and 7.0 in veg. Flower likes 6.0 and 6.5. When pH is to low or to high it can cause deficiency just like what you are experiencing. Correct pH give two weeks she should be healthy again
