I do the same as GMSgrows... with the addition of at least SOME wet trim if not COMPLETELY wet trimming them. If I'm going to do all wet trim, I cut off a branch at a time, starting from the top (I'll cut the main cola first), trim it up and hang it in a dark room (unused tent works great) and then go chop off the next branch and trim it... that way, I don't have to chop the entire plant all at one time and, if it's a particularly large plant, I can evaluate the trichs the further down I go... and I may get to the point where the trichs aren't quite ready, say, mid-plant... so I let it grow a couple more days to a week before chopping and trimming again... Trim jail has never been my idea of a fun time so I'm happy to spread it out over a period of time...
For a nice, slow, long dry, try to maintain 60 degrees and 60% humidity with fans moving air AROUND them, not ON them... perfect conditions to give you the best bud... and then there's the cure...
