Normally for mainlining it is quite drastic defoliation and removing a lot of growth points to only have the tips of the biggest branches. It always depends on what you are trying to achieve, mainlining is great for only getting the main colas and eliminating all the popcorn buds. It's difficult to give advice here, because some people like having main colas and a few more solid lowers and others only want main colas and that will determine how drastically you prune. I would personally keep training it as wide as you can and then let the branches grow up, you may also need to transplant soon.

Mainlining is pretty broadly used now.. but it depends what your end game is, how soon you’re gonna flip. But I personally would removed the first node of growth at least after the split - on both sides of the split. So right after the split there’s gonna be two new growths starting on each and I’d remove those and maybe the next node as well to allow some space, then top again on both sides.
