Question Regarding Light and Distance from Plants

Any advice for the distance from plants at each stage for my Mars Hydro 1000 150W equivalent? Are there any signs to look for if they are getting too much or too little light? Should I fix that by bringing the light closer or cranking up the light higher? Week 1 at 100% - 60cm

I'd say keep the light about 38 centimeters from the canopy, no matter what stage the plants are at. Just adjust the dimmer to make sure you don't put your plants into any sort of light or heat stress. As far as how intense you should have the light for each stage, that's something you'll have to dial in. Do some research in light stress signs so you know as soon as they may start popping up, then nip it right up. I hope this helps.

Hi, I’ve had the same question about TS1000. Luckily I was advised to install Photone app on my phone. Had to spent 6 dollars to unlock full spectrum led. But that benefited so much. They have light calculator for cannabis. Awesome tool! So for 1st week seedlings you may set it to 25% at 30 cm height. Then gradually increase light to 50% till week 4. I was in full flower at 75-80% and 30 cm height. Didn’t have to go 100% at all with my previous grow box 70*45 cm

Hi there For a 150 watt from seedlings i would be dimmed at 50% and around 50cm above for the first week or two you dont want to be too intense/hot and damage the first two leaves, I would put it up to 60% week after and 80% week after that.. Keep an eye on them.. if the leafs look like they’re drying up they probably getting too hot, if they start stretching like crazy and there getting a really long stem then lower thr light abit, Its all about trying it and monitoring it and your start seeing what they want, Best of luck 🌱
