Seedling tips?

New grower. First seed. Seems to be going fine with seedling popping through soil after 2 days. Now under 60w CFL about 6-8 inches above the plant and a clear plastic cup covering it. Any tips for keeping it alive and thriving? Been spritzing with water 1-2x/day.

I would remove the plastic cup as soon as the sprout breaks out of the soil. If it stays to humid you promote mold/fungus which can cause the sprout to "dampen off". Only reason to have a dome is to prevent your soil from drying out while the seeds taproot is still small and can easily dry up. Happy Growing

Remove the cover and water it properly.......spritzing does nothing.

Hello. Doing good. You can lower the light to within 4 inches to get the most/best photosynthesis out of the fluorescents. I don't use a cover because I want alot of light on the seedling to stop the stretch upward. Don't give too much water. and no food until the first leaves are all the way out. Your first one, I hope it's memorable. Chuck.
