Backup power supply

Am I just being paranoid? Or is it a great idea to have a healthy backup power supply?? Didn't spare any expense on this one, never used it for my PC, and it was just sitting in storage..

How many times did your power felt out during the last years? And are you using the power line to the safety fuse till the max?
If the answers are never and no not even close than I would not worrie to much about it.
But ok you've got this one already so when you worrie about it you can always use it to get it off your mind.

@m0use, that's what i was thinking. I'll have to run a test to see how long it lasts with a few things plugged in. Just got my old waterfarm back from a buddy that held onto it for like 20yrs haha. So hydro is coming next diary for sure. Miss that EXPLOSIVE growth from hydro.

@XperencdGmanXG, description on Sola claims 3000VA and 2700 watts. Typical backup time 3/11. Was planning on having the light and scrubber on it at the least. Light max'd out is 130w, and the scrubber is much lower. Can't remember exact specs. Guess I could pull the plug once it's fully charged and see how long it lasts. Just wondering if it's overkill, or a good idea.

if it can handle the drawl then why not get some use out of it.
Backup power is really only needed for hydro setups on the pumps. If lights go out it prob won't be for to long, and if it is longer your plants will be the least of your immediate concerns.

how big is this backup, and what will you have running on it? how long do you want it to last? with or without lights on? IMO would need alot of UPS to run everything. maybe just movement fans, humidifier, and exhaust.

Ceramic heat emitter?Anyone use a reptile ceramic heat emitter to heat their smaller tent? Grabbing an elitech temp/humidity controller and a reptile fogger since the unit I'm running will prob never have wifi app support again. Could plug the heat emitter on the "heat" side and keep it high up??

Isolating grow tent humidityI recently got a humidifier as my tents RH was 25% with no correction. When I first put it in it didnt do much because of my exhaust fan. What kind of mold/fungus is this?I asked about this before and it looked more white, so folx suggested it was either mycelium or salts.
I am growing in coco, 38-47RH, 28c. The brown makes me think it's not mycelium so just wondered if anyone knows exactly what this is and if it's bad. It smells bad haha
