I asked about this before and it looked more white, so folx suggested it was either mycelium or salts. I am growing in coco, 38-47RH, 28c. The brown makes me think it's not mycelium so just wondered if anyone knows exactly what this is and if it's bad. It smells bad haha

If it were mycelium when you touch it it wouldn't dissipate but be sticky to the touch. I'm sure its not mycelium but I also get a similar build up using fabric pots and growing in coco. I figured out my stuff was just salt build up from fertilizer that appears when you start flushing for harvest and I can imagine the odor depending on the type of fertilizer your using. If it were milorganite it would definitely smell bad as would any fertilizer that smells rather bad in the first place.

washing off ?????? Mycelium is an important food source for many soil invertebrates. They are vital to agriculture and are important to almost all species of plants, many species co-evolving with the fungi. Mycelium is a primary factor in a plant's health, nutrient intake, and growth, with mycelium being a major factor to plant fitness. wiki.
