Personally I would say no..........cannabis plants are "designed" to cope with full sun, all day, every day. I have always run my lights at 100% and with both "veg" and "bloom" spectrums turned on, from day one until harvest day. However, you may want to check the manufacturers' website for their recommendations for the particular light you are using.........some might say 50% for seedlings, 75% for veg and 100% for flowering for example. By adjusting the height of your lights, it is fairly simple to stay in the "safe zone" regarding intensity.........heat is probably a bigger enemy.
