Hey Growdiaries. I’m about to start my 2nd grow but I’m not happy with my Viparspectra 300 for flower. I want a cheap add on for the flower stage? CFLs look like a cheap, low energy use, add on as I’m only growing two plants in a small w3xd2xh3 ft tent. Any advice plz & 🙏🏼

Hey Mate, before I would go for a CFL I´d rather have a decent look for LED. A TS600 from Mars Hydro, price is below €100 in my area. You´ll get a stable light with a good spectrum. Vipar Spectra, Spider-Farmer, Horticultural Lighting group... There are tons of producers at the moment. May you want to have a look at the Light-section here at GrowDiaries. Low budget light I don't know if this is the right light. I'm gonna leave it for a week but if I don't see any kind of growth I'm gonna replace it with some good light. But since it's a wooden box I don't want to put a big light, maybe some stripe or bars, any low-budget suggestion is appreciated

LED's wont shut completely off Lights seem to go on a "standby mode" instead of being all the way shut when timers switch them off. Should I buy some other timers? These were brand new, cheap ones though and both the same. Lights are HLG 600 RSPEC and both did this.

Will a 1000w LED be enough for flowering?Im about to start my 3rd ever grow, now I cant get enough of it. For my last 2 grows, in a 90x90x200 tent, I've has a MARS Hydro TS 1000w LED for Veg / 600w HPS for Flowering.... Can I use only the LED throughout? The heat from the HPS is crazy. Lights for heat- 24/7 okay?I really need the heat of the lights to keep the inside of my tent warm. To warm the air around the tent 24/7 would be expensive- much more expensive than using the lights all the time. But will this work with 24 hour lights? Will that stress the plants? Using auto flowers.

Temporary 24 hours darkness, equipment issue.My light ballest has broken tonight, my lights will have been off for 24hours by the time I can replace, the plants are about 2 weeks from harvest, would it damage the plants to start the light cycle (18 on 6 off) tomorrow after having the light off for 24 hours?
