Hey. I'm am currently running UV A 365-420nm and far red 730nm to change photochrome (the time it takes for fems to sleep from 2hrs to 5 mins) making your flowering time for 13.5hrs&10.4 hrs sleeping with 5mins of far red after lights out. But yes you can use your UV A as its not like UV-B which should only be used, if at all during flowering. It will get got. So check the distances on your light. I use my UV part of vegging plants and flowering. Start of with an 1 once a day and move it up. It really can be used early. But much greater use would be during flowering(s) phase. So you'd want to be running it 2-3 hrs a time twice a day if your running autos or once during the light on during for 1-2hrs during flowering.. Good luck.

98.2% of uv that reaches plants is UV-A , feel free to give your plants UV-A for the entire growth, Uv-a 380nm or above is not potent enough to damage the plant unless heat is a factor , 360nm is used for industrial curing thats another matter. The true meat & potatoes lie at 280nm this is the line between UV-B and UV-C but also where 95% of the UVR8 stress response is activated, recent studies have shown there is a synergistic response between 280 and 385, combine them both for an explosion. Stress response at 280nm is 10x that of 290nm.

You have a UVA light i beleive? If thats the case play around and see what works for you. I personally run my UVA from as soon as i see green and i keep it running during the entire light cycle. I do this as a way of preparing my plants for giving UVB when they are in flower. The UVR8 protien will not be forced out usiing UVA (315-400 nm) as the wave length is too high. You need 288nm to produce the protien and no led can make this wave length. You would need to invest in a Solacure flowerpower UVB tube and this is the one you would limit during flower. You want to stress them but not kill them. UVA that you have can be damaging to the plant if too close as with any light. Use your eyes and fingers. if you get leaf feeling a bit crispy youve gone too fat, back it off or reduce exposeure. I use 20w of UVA and have never had an issue .. UVB 280–315 nm UVA 315-400 nm I hope that helps. Feel free to message me if i can be of any help. Have fun..

I use mine for the last couple weeks of veg before flip and all of flower. I have the gavita 30w supplemental uv bar. It's my first run with it and 0 issues. I will have a better idea in a couple months once I complete this run hopefully

Hola!!!
