Adding silica

So I have been using the Fox Farms nutrients line up since before autoflowers became popular. And I'm looking to add some silica to my nutrients. What would you guys suggest that works in both soil and hydroponic applications. Thanks in advance ✌️

Rhino Skin seems to be pretty good, I have used 250ml across 4-5 weeks on multiple plants and it has made a tangible difference. So I recommend that.

Vermiculite adds some silica on its own.. use that instead of perlite or similar drainage-related amendment. (soilless is 'hydro' but in a pure water method you'd need any liquid option available.. read and compare labels, if it says the same ingredients and provides same % of mass of silica, it's the same damn thing and you should buy the offbrand or generic anytime possible with such things.. if it doesn't have a guarnateed analysis label, it's no good for "hydro" .. if it isn't 100% soluble, it's a problem for "hydro" - last one shouldn't be an issue) a rose is a rose is a... if they use the same molecules, it's the same thing no matter what the fancy label is or how much it costs. i wouldn't overpay for this sort of supplement.. but if you got money to burn, go for it. The ROI is almost certainly low, though.

Do you follow their feeding schedule ? I’m running into problems I have read not to follow nutrition brands that suggest regular flushing and EC from the stardards

I've used silica blast before and it really toughened up my plants.

I’ve used ArmorSi for years it’s great and should be compatible. Botanicare’s silica blast is legit. I’ve heard amazing things about powerSi as well it’s supposed to be more readily available Si compound ArmorSi is just potassium silicate which is nice for the additional few points of K. Silica blast is two forms, the potassium silicate and sodium silicate I believe. Then the powerSi is some patented silicic acid matrix or some shit that’s over my head. But it’s expensive. Frankly I’d go for one of the first two options - unless you wanna try something fancy.

I can't see 1 on fox farms selection. With all the other stuff in their products they probably have some form or another of silica based product or something similar As it can help against pest attacks and so on. Good

There is loads pal. Advanced nutrients do a decent 1. Mixes well with other nutrients literally every good nutrient company sells silica. Most say to add when pre flower starts . It'll make for much stronger stems and there's other benefits. So yes. I highly suggest 1. It'll be a good tool to your arsenal. Good luck
