I put up a diary With many different methods. And I swear. It got so bad. All I had to to was push a little soil about. And about 50 little shits that are waiting on their wings. So, yellow sticky traps..fruit fly traps will get rid of any males.. and then its your job to sort out the soil. There's num ways to treat it. Have a look. Cinnamon you use to pour around the traps as its a natural fun they'll go to that. And you trap them or lay out some pest DE around it. Let you soil dry out. If you have to feed from the bottom up. So just sit your pot in a few 100mls of water. No nutrients. This might cause light green on sides of leafs but it's part in parcel of getting rid of them. Now when your soil is dry by a few inches on top. You'll have inert larva just watering for you to water again. So gently remove the 1st few inches (this is just an extra percausion.. Have a look at my diary. Fungas gnats, fruit flies. The flyers like to get near the lights or exhaust fan you'll catch a lot with yellow bug traps.. Good luck

I use mosquito bits and sticky traps and some diatomaceous earth. Helps keeps their numbers way down. Like others have said though you'll also want to try to let your soil dry a little more between waterings.

If fungus gnats leave medium to dry like previously stated water from bottom of pot if can do so and set some sticky traps up can get some powder stuff forgot what it's called that you put ontop of medium and drys it out to stop gnats from laying eggs back in medium once there in they are a pain hence one reasons I do hydro šŸ¤£ best of luck

Generally caused by the substrate being too wet, too long, too often. Let the substrate dry properly between irrigations and the gnats will die off soon enough. Much better to solve the cause than finding a cure.

I found that neem oil mixed with a drop of dish soap and warm water does the job perfectly, as long as the infestation is in its beginning. You should act as soon as you see the first gnat so that you can break the larvae to insect cycle. Donā€™t panic though! Gnats are probably the easiest pest to get rid of and one that does the least damage as long as you donā€™t have a thousand of them buggers in the tent. Good luck!
