Terp1answered grow question 3y ago I would always defoliate if the leaf costs the plant more energy than it brings in. This is always the case when the leaf hardly gets any light. LEDs don't penetrate the canopy like the sun does. Outside, it may be right that the plant doesn't shed its leaves because they all contribute energy. But the sun also penetrates the plant. Indoors, it's a completely different story. Make your own experiences. I definitely defoliate leaves that I can't tuck away and leaves that hardly get any light. Even with autos. The plant will thank you for it. Every photon that your buds receive more from defoliation will ultimately give you a higher yield.
