Thick canopy

GrowingGracie
GrowingGraciestarted grow question 5 years ago
1st time grower here in week 3 of northern lights auto the canopy is really thick and not very tall. I've seen others strip the leaves but they do that later in flower. Should I be worried or am I fine? What should I do?

You LST'd, so that;s normal. it seems like it isn't growing as much, but it really growing more spread out than before.. as the canopy expands and roots to support it.. growth will explode in no time. removing overlapping leaves can help... and axillary growth that is not part of your plans prune off... the plant will perk up for sure. *autoflower, so this is much less likely the case.. so, just get leaves out of the way for vertical growth of all axillary shoots... leave at minimum 1 leaf at each node if you can.. this early it'll grow back.

Maybe your light is a little close preventing it from stretching? It looks good though don't worry, let her do her thing 🌱👍

I wouldn't worry. I don't really like to defoliate personally.

You can take the larger old fan leaves to help clear out your canopy. Shouldnt be an issue. Happy Growing! 🤟😜
