@mikeltii! Yes, this method called "defoliation" is highly recommended when entering in the flowering stage. By tucking out the big upper fan leaves, you'll allow more light penetration but you will also increase the airflow around the bud sites. Be warned that this should be done step by step, never remove too many leaves at the same time, and always check how your plant reacts after a slight defoliation.
