variable Lichtzyklen bei Autoflowers?

Idea for the next grow. Has anyone ever tried adjusting the light cycles for autoflowers to maximize plant performance? My idea is to adjust the lighting during the grow to: Seedling 24/0, Veg phase 18/6, and late flowering 12/12. Input? Experiences?

Hi I have had similar ideas to yours but in practice it doesn't seem to do as well. Next autos I grow will be 24/0 for the 1st week then 20/4 for the veg phase and 18/6 for the flower stage. Iv tried days of darkness before harvest with no telling difference in end product. The problem with 2 days darkness is my Rh started climbing quite high after the 1st day. I'm sure a few others will have tried similar things so wait to see if you get any more answers that help you out before closing the question.

I read from another question that you can definitely adjust the cycle at any time.
The following conditions must be met:
- more than 16 hours of light per day
That's pretty much it. You can experiment with the rest and find out what works best for you.
What seems to be successful is:
Seedling - 24/0
Veg - 20/4
Flower - 18/6

Thank you very much for the reply @Hashy. I feel like you can answer from experience and aren't just writing something you heard somewhere. I'll also test your plan on my next run and post here. Unless someone else is reading this and can say something more certain about it.

Why do some growers turn off the light in the last days then? They want to tell the plant that winter is coming, and this way stimulate it to produce more terpenes and cannabinoids. Shouldn't it work even better over the last 10 days of flowering, for example, with only 12 hours of light? Has anyone tried that before?

I've tried this and 18/6 has provided me the best results. You sacrifice yield if you drop to 12/12, and at 24 you can more easily stress the plants for a very nominal increase in yield and pote tially worse quality if everytbing isn't dialed in perfectly.

Don't do this. 20/4 is a great schedule for autos start to finish. They do not obey light times at all. Hence the name autoflower. Reducing light hours will hurt the plants performance greatly. Will have a big plant with tiny airy buds your way. I been growing autoflowers for years. 👍🏻

Full spectrum or all red grow light?Hey guys!

Light doesnt cover every potSo i've got 2 plants under one cfl lamp and i observed that that 1 girl is reclining to the right.
As i see my Cfl this girl is standing right below the plastic part of the cfl and obviously gets less sun.
