I only defoliate a few times in a grow. So they get only a few times the stress after defoliation.

Too me it all depends on the training your doing and the reason behind the defoliating. Personally when mainline or something with heavy structure work defoliating helps open up space ect... Defoliating without a purpose just dosnt make any sense.

I would suggest only a few times a grow because it may stress your plant out and when you do it be very selective on which leaves you remove only the one's blocking bud sites and LST is safe during any stage but really isn't needed after the stretch is over. Good Luck on your journey my friend ...
