Is it okay to top autos? If yes, does it matter if it's at the 4th, 5th or 6th node? Is one better than the other besides the shape/size differences that they'll cause later? Many thanks in advance!

While it is generally recommended not to top autoflowering plants, it is indeed possible to do so. I've been cultivating for seven years, and I started topping autoflowering plants from my second grow. I've personally experienced increased yields as a result. However, it's crucial to perform the topping before the plants start showing their gender to avoid any potential stress. Remember, every grower's experience can vary, so it's important to assess your own plants and make informed decisions based on your observations. Good luck with your cultivation!

it's better not to top autoflowers. Some contexts may exist... if you have a tent full and it will help keep things even in height, and not cause any issues filling the space properly ... seems to be only a benefit in this case. cutting a chunk off an autoflower plant almost assuredly reduces potential yield. The plant is on a timer that we don't control. Training it is going to have more consistent results.

Most of what I read says to do minimal stress with autos. With the occasional “it’s ok to do it with a healthy plant”. The idea is, if the auto flowers after 4 weeks and you waste one to rebounding from the stress the benefit is not there. I’ve don’t both on my first and second grows.
