Plant broke after it popped out of the soil

1 day after it popped out of the soil one of my plants broke does someone know why this happenend I didn't touch the plant myself

It happened to me also. The first few hours after it emerges, the cotyledons are still closed and are white pale. It may also be bent 90 degrees or more. But after a couple of hours it will slowly gain its usual green color and maybe a day or so and it will be upright. You should be more worried about that soil which looks extremely wet. She will drown there.

it looks extremely wet, that can be a problem but i think this will gain some green color as it is exposed to the light. did the shell just pop off or did you just take it off? it can look a little funky initially. more drainage -- either holes in cup if none there or more perlite or similar mixed into the substrate. that looks like it's going to drown or grow something nasty on a seedling that will potentially kill it.

I don’t see what’s broke about it. Looks like the shell popped off and the cotyledons are still closed. If it’s actually severed- could be mice. I’ve had mice chew it right off the stem.
