bah third reply, sorry... at 53 days, if it's close... any stress from extened light wouldn't have time to grow a nanner or pollen sac... but i'd still just be safe. make sure it has at least a minimal uninterrupted dark cyle each day to be safe.

10 hours is enough for many plants... 11hours is enough for vast majority... 12 hours of darkness is "safe" for all (if there's an exception it's some kind of lottery winner or like being struck by lightning)

This is all that matters. each 24 hours cycle it has at least a "12" hour dark period that is uninterrupted, that laste part is key. As long as you don't forego a long dark period, it will transition without issues. Either extend lights on 1 hour and with 1 less dark each day until you are at your new on/off times - OR - extend 1 dark cycle until the time you want the lights to come on in future. Technically you could also reduce light one hour and turn off one hour earlier, but this path reduces total amount of light given to the plant just as extending 1 dark cycle does. This is 1 less day out of 60, give or take. So, it is small potatoes and nothing to worry about, either way. imo, i'd do it fast and easy. especially if the temperatures have already risen. extend one dark cycle until your new cycle on time.
