It’s week 9 of flowering and buds are looking big, beautiful, sticky and healthy. Pistils are turning amber and smell is very strong linolene. My 1st grow and Congo’s typical Flowering time is 9-11 weeks. I will flush during weeks 9 & 10 then harvest week 11? Any advice?

I would suggest letting the plants finish meaning cloudy trichomes and mostly amber pistils then begin to flush. I've had to learn myself even after 12 strains that the harvest time given by breeders is more of an estimated time then actual. I would always add at least two weeks to whatever their time of harvest is.

Looks a week or 2 out, don't be surprised if it goes longer breeders have perfected there grow rooms, without the same equipment and conditions it's hard to obtain the exact same grow conditions that the breeders have.

Hey, great first grow, i usually noticed my plants ended up going a week or 2 past the breeder recommendation. I think watching for 60% + of pistils coloring and curling in is a good identifier as well as the trichromes. The main harvest advice would be too dry them low and slow, a medium RH and a nice room temp over several days. Any of my plants that dried to fast always had a slightly less chronic smell to them. If you can buy any tiny RH/temp gauges for your jars, that was a smart buy for me also for during the cure. Happy Harvesting ✌️

I grow a Landrace Thai that is 100% Sativa and I've learned that the resin will never turn amber so I cant go by resin color. So instead I watch the buds for that time when the buds stop growing noticeably and from that date I grow it another 21 days.

I always start flushing mu plants if the trichomes are full milky and almost 10% amber or more. I always flush my plants at least for a week. Good luck with the harvest.

yaah another congo diary.I love this strain.Really top stuff. It must be exciting for you to come close to a grand harvest.Mine took 12 weeks with no amber. If yours already has ambers,it means you are in harvest season. If you like ambers(which I don't like),flush for a few days and chop it down at the end of the week. But if you ask my opinion,I wouldn't flush that plant as fading on leaves looks so smooth,no burn signs and all look crystalized and healthy. No need to starve the plant. Its your decision in the end and what I would advise is that flushing for a week and chopping it down.Week 10 would be so on point.11 would be a bit late.I wish you a happy and enjoyable harvest,no doubt end product will be amazing.Waiting for your review.Cheers.
