I'd aim for a DLI of 40-45 without CO2. www.youtube.com/watch Dr.Bruce Bugbee does a good clip explaining this. Good Luck!

Are you running autoflowers? As you may know dli is afaik ppfd x photoperiod. If you have the same intensity but running longer than 12 hours (18,20,24?) It is forced to be a lot higher. I've read that because of this a lower intensity is required for autos. As stated already looking at the leaves helps. I do it slightly different as in if the leaves are still praying just before lights off its likely they need more but if they are down then they are saying they have had enough

Hey man. There is a true way you can know how much your plant takes in..its not ideal. But it works for me. So, when plants (phenos) overdo it with their DLI (par intake) they will droop really bad about 30m after lights out. Possibly before. I've never waited and watched lol. But, after checking if your see your plant droop. That's light stress. It means, it was standing up taking light, when really it couldn't take no more. Light boxers after a fight. They need to sit down. Well some do. As said below. As phenos / strains / plants take in DLI amounts differently. Also, environmental will play a big factor. Now I've not heard of a cannabis plant needing that DLI you're using. But, depending on the size of the plant, foliage and so on. Also, when taking a true DLI you need to take a few readings at dif levels (at the tops of each sets of nodes) then average them up to get your plants DLI as the ppfd hitting will be higher at the top then middle and bottom. So, this comes into play also. Your DLI might be 65 at the top but, when you do it at dif levels plant wide and finding out how deep your ppf reaches Also comes into play. So, in reality you might just be hitting that right no DLI wise. As if it was plant wide, or a scrog where all top nodes were even. Then yes, that's a true DLI cause at the points 1st intake are all even, r more so that a reg grown plant. So, your DLI would actually be a lot lower than 65 if you're just getting the ppfd from the top. I'm nearly sure I read about this on growweedeasy. Although I can't remember Good luck

If your not running co2 I would lower the DLI. I find anything above 50 DLi with my grows causes stress.

Depending on the plant u can try and see it if you see any light stress lower it, but I think 65 is too much best will be to wait and see what the plant will tell you 😎

High bro, Cannabis plants can absorb as much as 65 mols/m2/day or 65 DLI. But this number changes between plant species, it can also range between different cannabis phenotypes depending on their original landrace lineage. As a general PPFD range for flowering cannabis, staying towards the higher end of 500-1100 umols/m2/s-1 is optimal without CO2 supplementation, however that range can be extended up to 1500 umols/m2/s-1 with proper CO2 supplementation. Enjoy your grow buddy!
