Have 2 1200 watt 2 switch LED lights at 19 inches. Currently using just Vegetation switch (assuming each switch is 600 watts) Seeking advice on light distance and if I should use both switches, Vegetative and Flowering. What is best without doing harm?

Light height? Let's talk about it. Firstly, LED manufactures use false, inflated "equivalents". That 1200W lamp is probably only 200-250Watts. I mention this because the 200-250W is the number to focus on when it comes to taking PAR and PPFD readings (Buyer beware. Lots of lies from manufactures to appear better then others). Anywho!!! Most LED manufacturers will give you benchmark heights to use in the seedling, Veg and flowering state but I have noticed some very close relationships between all these lamps. With seedlings you're going to want a 60-75cm buffer space. Veg, you're looking at 60cm and Flower is 45-60cm buffer space. I'd check the manufacturer specs, but I can almost guarantee these are the numbers you'll find. Heads up that LEDS are obviously intense as eff and these numbers may not work for you. If they stretch and get lanky, too far. If they cup, twist or burn you're too close. Again, the manufacture has benchmark numbers, but pending on your entire environment you may have to move it up or down to it's "sweet spot". As for the bloom and Veg switch, this is another manufacturer recommendation BUT most will tell you to operate both switches while in flower. If you find this to intense for the plants, there is nothing stopping you from flicking off the "Veg" switch whenever you'd like. Quick example from my grow: SF-2000 recommends a 60cm buffer. At this height my plants were being heat stressed and it was obvious. They were cupping, 'praying' and burning. I moved the SF to 75cm and everything was ok. Play it by ear and within a couple days you WILL have that sweet spot you're looking for. Hope this is the answer you're looking for my friend. I see a couple other issues but you didn't ask about that! so I'll leave it there. Good luck my friend and happy grows✊👍

Use vegetative for vegetative phase and flowering for flower phase, 1 at a time. In vegetative phase use a lamp with 60cm distance of the plant and in flower phase is 45cm of distance to the plant Good grows 👌

It looks like you burned the roots with an excess of fertilizer. Try to water with clean water with stable pH. within 4-6 days, the plant should return to normal and continue active growth! Good luck bro!

Looks like you have junk genetics on the first set of seeds. Look at that Early Miss in flower. That thing is 6 weeks?

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.. if they're an Afghani or kush, and you'd like them to stretch in veg, a bit more light is better, if it's a sativa dominate, keeping the light father away can tighten up the node spacing.. the best way to figure this is to research a PAR map for your lights.. once you know this, a par of 300-400 (about 45-55% growth rate)is best for seedlings to late preveg and 600(about 65% GR) in veg. For flower, assuming you're not supplimenting with CO2, a par of 800-900 (about 80% GR) is max.. you can go higher-up with added co2 and lots of air circulation between the light and canopy.. The increases aren't worth it in my opinion as the cost per gram can go up significantly... Cheers. Hope this helps. Keep it Green!

I normally start with 36" inches then 24" inches then in flower at least 18" inches away. It all depends on what the plant likes.

There's alot of controversy here but what I like to do (although mine is only 300w in small tent) is use blue light only for seedlings very high, as high as 60cm, 50m40cm for vegging and 35ish for flowering. I switch both on when the plant is 3/4 weeks into veg stage and is no longer a young plant. And put it red only in the last week or two. 😁👍🌱
