Did I wait too long to harvest my autoflower? First grow, help please!

I got a freebie seed and don't know the strain- she is about 3 months old and the fan leaves are dying. The trichomes however are still all mostly clear with no amber. Did I miss my window? There are new white pistils growing in but the plant looks sad. Soil grown, 1000W LED.

Brother, for my experience I would say pull them immediately. Typically there's going to be mold where some of them are brown. You may be able to save some and a good organic vegetable silk wash could be beneficial to keep them all down. The long. Do you wait the more you're going to lose.

No you did. Look at my Mango smile diary. It looks identical. Her prettiest pictures was like 2 weeks before harvest. After that sugar and fan leaves starting turning crispy like yours. Although photosynthesis will reduce and production will slow, she will still ripen. Some sativas almost never turn maily amber. So it could lean more sativa. Mine eventually turned 10-20% amber at week 13 pushing 14. Goodluck and please select me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 🙏 😃

Go by Trichomes. Your resin glands should be 50/50 amber/milky, or 60/40 milky to amber. Grab a 60x magnifying glass and have a look at them. The resin gland heads are what your looking at.

Since your plant is an autoflower and the strain is unknown, it might have a slightly longer or shorter flowering time compared to typical autoflower varieties. Patience is crucial, and it might be worthwhile to wait until you observe more amber trichomes for a more mature and potent harvest.

you can trim off the newer undeveloped pistils if you want. you could wait for them to ripen. i'm not a fan of 2 drastically different timelines for ripening. but, you may feel differently on that. The main concern i see here, if you go longer, is that the canopy is decimated. Not much photosynthesis is taking place compared to before. So any development would be slower, too. fan leaves dying could be senescence at this stage and not a concern, though not good for pushing on longer, obviously. However, just to be safe, look under the buds in an area where fan leaves have turned brown and crispy. Ensure there is no white or grey fuzz along stem underneath the buds. Find a spot you can gently pry it open slightly to see.. you don't have to damage anythign to do it, if you do, just pull off that chunk and let it dry somewhere and you can smoke it in a few days, lol. it won't be lost and won't cause any problem with plant, just not optimal, so try to avoid it. 1 spot check is fine.. if not infected the other areas died by natural means too. you don't have eto tear up your plant to check this.
