Plants grown from seed are like brothers and sisters, the are not identical and some breeders help lock in a lot of the traits you may desire in the plant, but its not a twin or a clone of the parents, thus they take on some differences. Good breeders try and reduce this by locking in the genetics but its not always possible to do that. It takes a lot of time and energy, so they cut corners so they can release new strains every year. A good breeding program would take 100's of plants and work its way into stabilizing the seeds over generations. Its just to much work, I'm sure the plants will still be tasty and a good smoke despite them looking different. If you like one more then the other, take some cuttings of it aka clones and then it will be the same next time around. Good Luck!

Unless you want near the exact same crop. The only real way to achieve this is by using a mother that's vegged for 3+ wks 5 been optimal and taking clones from her. Even then in a tent setting if ur not using a lux meter there's gonna be some phenos tat get extra loving from ur light if ur're nt rotating and moving bout

Okay. Here's the 101s of seed (pheno hunting) Breeders spend up to a yr or maybe more perfecting their strain. And pheno hunting is a huge part of it. When they cross seeds to make a new strain. A breeder would find the best pheno say out of 2 crops of 10 strains. Each strain crop been different. Those 10x2 strains (2 dif types 10 of each) the breeder will pick which is the most viability, quickest grower or whatever traits they're searching for, wheater it be armoa or thc strenght. No seed will ever be the same even those that are crossed to make a new strain will make 100+ seeds of regs/fems then that breeder will grow his 100 strains and if he wants to pick the best he'll then backcross on strain (there's a lot more to it. But they can make F1 seeds where 90% of the seeds that mother will nearly have very similar qualities, RQS have brought out F1 Autos and I grew 2 i suspect where from the same mother and they were like twins nearly) So, to your answer. 95% of breeders make new strains yes, but, they don't tend to make F1s . So, all seeds that breeders make, all seeds are like humans they all have different finger prints even twins have different finger prints. But, the closest you can get in strains of the same been the same are F1s, (twins) but, they have different fingerprints as they might look the same but, in small ways, they're not 100% identical.

Same idea as humans having kids. You might have one exceptional child that has perfect bone structure, eye shape, skin tone, etc, then the next offspring is born of the same 2 parents, but that child has a big nose and wide set eyes and male pattern baldness. You get the idea. Genetic Lottery is a good way of describing it.

Yup "phenotypic distribution". Sorry I should use this name too (I think "lottery" better expresses the random factor). ^^

Genetic lottery: all seeds from the same parents will have common traits, but not necessarily exactly the same specificities. The only way to be 100% sure of having the same plants is to grow clones of the same mother plant. When you find a variety you like, buy a good batch of regular seeds and do what's called a "pheno hunt": you grow all the seeds, take cuttings from all the plants, remove the males and, at the end of the initial harvest, keep only the clone or clones of the most beautiful plants, with the best traits or flavours, to make mother plants for the following crops. It's a bit of work, more interesting for a professional grower than a casual grower, but it's also an interesting thing to do. ^^

Why do human brothers or sisters look different? Just genetics my friend. Seeds from the same mother plant can be totally different from eachother. If you want identical plant then use a mother plant and make clones.
