I've switched over to Deep water culture in 5 gallon hydro buckets from coco coir personally. i usually only have to change the water once a week. But if you want to keep using coco you can get drip emitters and a reservoir (can be as simple as a bucket) and a small submersible pump and connect them to a timer to turn it on for a few minutes a day. A aquarium air pump and air stone in the reservoir will help prevent the your water from going bad if you plan on adding nutrients to it. P.S. calcium hypochlorite is a god send for keeping your water clean of bacteria or alga that like to tamper with your waters PH My recipe is: 1 Gram calcium hypochlorite to 1 gallon of bottled water Apply 5ML of the resulting solution for every gallon of water in your Reservoir.

I always work with automated systems. When you are using an automated system you want to use a water reservoir for 3 days (light closed). I can recommend Sicce pumps they work great! You want to use nutrients that do not go bad within 3 days. I always use canna Aqua. And you want to use a medium that stays moist but not too wet. I use 50% clay pebbles and 50% rockwool cubes. I buy large rockwool cubes and cut them in 1cm cubes. I can help you making your own system. It is easy and cheap. Just send me a private message. Perfect for small cabinets!

Have not done the automated pumps, can't comment much on that. I do like growing in coir and perlite, its a nice easy mix, peat moss and perlite is also fun. I do about 30% perlite in coir and 40-50% perlite in peat is the sweet spot from what I am told. Good Luck!

buy a device called WD-01ADE. And you won't have any problems with automatic watering.

I grow in double of your size tent, plants always occupie all space. 170 g from such small and still plenty of space left .... you should give lessons, not someone to you, if those numbers are true.

don't buy an aquarium pump. Get a 3.3gpm high pressure pump -- the type you often see RV's use. They can provide 45-60psi (can adjust lower too). Most emitters need 10-20psi minimum to operate effectively. Aquarium pumps have a higher flow rate but shit ass PSI / lift. after that it's just a matter of selecting the type of emitters you prefer. because of nature of minerals dissolved into water, you get a good amount of buildup over time and tehy do clog. This is not without effort and maintenance. I'd suggest the little emitters with 8 tiny jets that spurt out.. the holes are large and tough to clog. If i were smart it'd take a toothbrush to mine every 2 weeks and avoid any issue.. maybe 3-4 weeks. The slower drips/smaller orifice types will clog even sooner. the 3.3gpm size will be good up to 8 pots i beleive? there's a 5.5gpm size too. They usually advertise different PSI, but if it looks the same, it can probably be adjusted to same psi as any other listing you find.. there's a couple different designs. read the comments/user reviews. Figure out what the 'newer' design looks like on front of pump and any that look like that will also be good options. the offbrand stuff falls off the same manufacturing line based on what they look like. i have the 5.5gpm hooked up to 2 manifolds with 24 of the emitters i mentioned. 2 per 5gal pot, but a 2-3 gallon pot or smaller would only need 1 of these emitters. I could probably connect a few more, but no need to experiement. "Seaflo" is a name brand.. i bought an offbrand and it works fine. "Hydrolock" uses a version of these pumps for their kits... i don't recommend their kits but you can deduce the size of the pump you need from their packages. the 3.3 will be overkill for you, but they are adjustable. if you want to use typical drip irrigation emitters, this is the way to go. if you just want an open tube dumping water, a basic pump can work too.

You could try a combo of coco and a drip irrigation setup. It can make for hydroponic like growth plus it would make things convenient if you wanted to run a SCROG, which would be wise since you're tent is on the shorter side.
