Hi. I love water curing but I guess it's a preferred taste thing. Some of the things you like in the plant are water soluble so you'll lose some of that. However, I hate smoking chlorophyll so much that I get rid of it with the method someone else outlined above. I've found that that method and 4 days cure is the correct balancing point to keep enough good bits like fruity flavours etc. I prefer the end product to letting the plant digest itself for a month. It gives a smoother smoke. It will lose all taste and look bland if you give it a full 8 days. It's rather unpleasant by that point. It will lose some final weight with this method but that only matters if you're selling it. After I dry my weed after a water cure I put them in jars with a hydro pack of some description so the remaining moisture evens out and any over dry or over most bits even out. Then it's lovely. 5 days instead of a month for curing and drying is currently better for me. Good luck.

Hello my friend WATER CURING - STEP 1: Start by pruning your heads and remove the stems and large leaves. If you want to make hash afterwards, it's a good idea to trim even more heads as this will give a better quality hashish. 2: Place your cut and manicured heads in a pot or bowl with water. The size of the pot depends on the amount of heads to be processed. 3: Water curing works best with water at a temperature of 18-24degrees. Be sure to keep the water within this temperature range. 4: The heads will want to float upwards, so you need to gently push them down and keep them submerged. If you treat them in a salad bowl or similar container, you can cover them with a kitchen cutting board. 5: Change the water with fresh water every day. The water curing process can take between 3 and 7 days and you need to change the water daily during this period. 6: When you have finished water curing your heads, after 3-7 days, hang and dry your heads as usual. Good by bro 👍

Hi Diertmckurs I am Not a big fan off water curing. But this technique works to remove unwanted substances from within the flowers that lead to harsh, unpleasant flavours. Quicker then Air curing. During traditional “air curing”, the buds are left for a longer period of time to break down residual substances. With water curing, the presence of water helps to accelerate and augment this process. Water-soluble substances within the flowers such as sugars, salts, insecticides, and chlorophyll diffuse into the water. This process is more effective than the buds digesting their own sugars. Although water curing can successfully remove unwanted substances, there are other water-soluble compounds within the buds that may also be washed out too. This may unfortunately reduce the desired flavours and scents of a particular strain Finally the Answer for you. after the long wait are you ready to lose some off your buds flavour and taste If yes go for it , if no little patience and the old style curing dry air jar method always get the job done. In 3/4 weeks. Hope this helps And good luck. Happy Growing
