I'm doing a super long grow, starting indoors and planting out in May.
My lady is now over a foot tall, and her side branches are not very strong. The main stem is very thick and firm.
My question is what support can I start inside and then transplant outdoors with the plant?
i would do week with pot, you take out to sun daily for 4 hours first day, and add an hour each time, let her get use to outdoors, then transplant, straight could be huge shock if sun strong or air cold...
Get the other growth in the pot out of there. Cultivate the top layer of the soil and uproot that shit. They only compete for nutrients with your girl and serve no other purpose.
I wouldn't trellis. I would just let her go naturally and when you bring her outside then you can re-pot into a large 7 gallon pot and start to train by tieing her branches down using the edge of the pot as your tie down point.
You can use a pro scrog frame.
It attaches to the pot. Giving you a net at which can be set as close as 20cm or 75 from your pot. You need an 18L pot.
If not used for a scrog she'll be more than Capel of holding some nodes for LST.
Good luck. Feel free to mes
you dont actully need much support with the plant already having a medium ie the soil it will support itself the only reason for extra support is in flowering when the buds get to large for the branches to handle the weight. if your going to put it outdoors in like 3 months you might wanna look into advance high stress training methods as that will be a very large plant by that stage :) best of luck what be better is if you took a cutting from this plant rooted it and then grow that one for a while then put the clone outside that would mean you could flower this plant indoors and by the time your ready to put the clone out youll have some nice bud :) oh and the stem being weak will mean its not got enough airflow around it try getting a fan to point near it and get the fan leave tips moving that will make sure she grows big and stron failing that you can always add silica to the feed this will stregthen branches and stems even more :)
