How do you guys determine if a plant is either overwatered or underwatered? Any tricks to notice the difference easier?

I find it hard to see/spot the difference between the two, and almost ruined #002 as you can see in the pictures of this week.

They have both droopy leaves but the overwatered plant have moist soil and the underwatered plant have dry soil. The surface can be dry while the area around the roots is moist so the tips is to put your finger in the soil deeper enough to see if the first 5 cm are dry or moist , you can go deeper but 5cm or deeper you need to be carefull and not damage the roots. The pot weight is to me the best way to know if it's an over or under watering because a wet pot is always heavier than a dry pot. So before watering check the weight by lifting the pot , do the same after watering , now you need to wait until the pot have the same weight than before watering to water again

this is the answer you are looking for : leaf stems are straighter upwards looking when OVERWATERED. And they are droopy like the leaves when UNDERWATERED. Check your drainage holes, there might be some issues.

I gotta agree with the other comment here. If you weigh your pots before when they are dry and after is usually a good trick. If you dont have a weight then a good rule of thumb is 25% water of the size of your medium. 10 L pots - 2.5 L water every other day. Will also mention is nice to have runoff at least every other week. Just to dissolve any salts and nutes and clean out excess airpockets.

Id say they was over watered I generally wait till the pots are light before I water again, under watering your whole plant will just flop, well that's what happened to mine
