Trying to grow up

Hello fellow gardeners,
This is my first Hydro grow. Seems to be going good, but I feel all plants are rather short. Am I supplying too much light so they don’t stretch out, or is something else going on? 4” tall after 4 weeks seems a bit short, but is growing plenty wide.

The plants look nice and healthy so there isn't an issue as far as nutrients or anything. Your node spacing is really close together so moving your light up some will let them stretch some and give you better node spacing for flowering. I would move them up about 6 inches and watch them closely for a few days if they don't get further spacing then go a couple more inches. Definitely a game of trial to find the best height for each brand and model of light. Good luck!

Well, that happens when you TOP the plant. It will develop secondary shoots more evenly and grow out instead of up. Give it a week or two and it will resume growing up.

hi man, for 5 weeks in the rdwc they are small i think, you should lower the EC 2,7 is to high!! may they salt build up! 1.4 , 1,5 its ok for that stage of grow

My apologies Took them as being autos. some may like to shoot the messenger, should look at others answers as well before mocking just one.
mind you Mock the grow if you can
yep not quite all there a lifetime of Bipolar and mental hospitals yes an inventors lot is not necessarily an easy one.

Oh right, I probably should have stated what I’m growing. They aren’t auto. Fem Caramelino and Fem White Widow, both from Seedsman.

with autos you get such a variety of sizes in the same seeds looks like you have just got a short one
Things will change when it goes into flower.
They decide when there going to grow sit there not grow and when they want to go into flower
