Is this Shell membrane crucial to life? Will this bag-seed Seedling survive?

Will it survive? The seed was pried open with saliva and pruners once it broke soil. I see some brown (what I suspect to be) membrane that maybe needed to stay with the cotyledon.

Judging the pictures posted that seedling is already lookimg for food in other places then it's own stored seedling supply your way past that . Water and light warm and humid is all it needs for a few weeks . Water very little it's better to Water away from the plant a touch so roots expand outwards in search of water not just down and end up binding there own growth ... I personally Water at the base then next Water I go out a little farther and out even further the next ti.e b4 I Water at the base again .... im in 3 gallon pots from seed just dnt over water your lil lady there and she should be growing in no time!!!!!

Loking good, no reason why it won't/shouldn't survive.
Always let the seedling do its own thing, there is no need to use saliva and pruners to somehow "help it".
Membrane is not essential to the cotyledons, but what you did is very un-natural.......seeds "know" what to do.
Bag seeds can be a big gamble, they are often carrying dominant genes for hermaphroditism.
Much better to spend the money and get proper seeds with clean genetics.

You'll be just fine. There's no need to pry off the seed shell, the plant will do that on it's own. Your question was a bit confusing as it sounded like you split the seed open when it cracked. Took me a minute to figure what the hell you were talking about, out. lol That seedling looks strong and healthy in the pix you provided. Just don't over water it and "Watch It Go"!

Seedling with yellowish tipsHey this is my first grow and I would appreciate some advice. My seedling is starting to have a light color/yellowish edges. It is under a Spiderfarmer 1000 quantum board (100ish wats) and about 20'' from the plant. The temp is around 80 and humidity 40-50. Is this normal?

Is growth normally this slow for seedlings?
