I have some brown spotting happening on one leaf right now. I’m assuming a calcium deficiency from light feeding last week? Any other thoughts?

Got the image to load, finally -- Definitely hold off. Some minor blemish on one of the oldest leaves is not something to react to strongly. Worth keeping an eye on it. Leaves can develop blemishes just from touching or nearly touching the pot or substrate and nothing to do with nutrition. Old leaves get fugly with time. If the plant is not shedding them, they are value-added, no worries. --- 6.2 would not hinder Ca. In fact it'd be more available at 6.2 than 5.8. Lower pH generally requires more Ca, which at some will then lockout a ton of other stuff because it's a +2 charge with greater affinity for bonding sites. So, don't overreact either way. If you come to the conclusion it's low Ca, step up slowly. It can take weeks to see the entire reaction to any change in formula. Obviously if it continues to trend poorly, may need another increment. It's easier to add stuff than to take away. Once the plant uptakes too much, it has no excretion system. It's there until it is used or causes damage.

Hi! I recommend checking your recommended ph on the bag of soil you purchased! Them my next step would be to water one of the plants and collect some runoff water I to a cup and measure the ph of that! It should be the same as you're putting in or at least close to that one you will find on the bag of soil, if your ph is lower? Go ahead and flush these girl with some plain water and if you find yourself having trouble go ahead and pop me a messege in private. Happy Growing!!

A couple very minor blemishes to a single leaf doesn't indicate a pattern. I wouldn't jump to change anything just yet but be aware and monitor it. 6.2 was a touch high for veg but short term won't be a big deal. I don't really understand why your pH is spiking the way it is. Probably the temp fluctuations affecting how much O2 your solution holds I guess. I've done the ice water bottles before and it's a pain. Luckily in my current basement grow things stay cool enough. How warm does it get without the bottles? Using the Hydroguard you might not need to worry as much about root rot as long as it's not getting too warm without them. I use the Flora Trio too. Your ratios are a bit different than what I use but you should be providing enough calmag at your current dosing.

With this being a dwc grow I'd say your ph when it was at 6.2 was possibly slightly to high for the stage your plants at, now your at 5.8 she should be better. Looking at your nute amount I'd say they were probably fine. The damaged parts of the leaf won't recover so keep your eye on it from progressing worse. If newer growth is fine and the older growth doesn't get any worse then you have corrected the problem.

Hi, it looks like a si.ple calcium and magnesium deficiency, try adding g some cal mag or some bone meal nutrient, also it would be very helpful to check if you have the correct ph! If you bought your soil in the store there should be recommendations on the back regarding using ph in the soil :). Happy Growing! Like if you helped my anwser and feel free to give me a text on private if you need help.

The first thing I’d check is the PH. Correct it for the medium your using, if it’s not right your guessing at what’s wrong.

I would agree she needs calmag and some NPK.
