"max" DLI, tightly controlled climate, well-constituted substrate, well-balanced diet... these are basically the things you can control and there will be great variability due to genetics above and beyond all of that, too.
*max dli is a relative concept... depends on atmospheric co2 levels, termperature and RH%. It will vary from one garden to the next and invovles some trial and error. You are already engaged in that trial and error. continue to ensure proper growth pattern and you rlight is where it needs to be as far as what it provides. -- Too lanky? needs more. Too tight? needs less light. Unless the climate of your garden changes drastically, this will be consistent from grow to grow.
