When should one lollipop an auto? Also, what characteristics would lead to you to think a certain plant is a good subject for lollipopping?

Short answer: when the plant has fully stretched. The typical answer is ~3 weeks into flower. During this phase, the plant has put out several buds along the stretched-out shoots. Lollipopping involves removing these side-buds from the bottom up, trimming off 1/3 to 2/3 of the plant's bottom mass.

First time doing LST and am wondering about clipping the fan leaves that are in the dirt and covering the new growth nodes on the main stem. Is it cool to cut these fan leaves in order to expose these new growth sites to the lights or would you recommend I just leave it? Thanks!

How to lollipop?Started lollipopping this week but did not remove all leaves up to the trellis because I was worried amount plant stretch and shock. Should I keep the leaves at the current level (about 2-3” below trellis), or cut it all off? Should I wait until flower or do it in veg if so?

Beschneiden Hello, I had to trim my ladies a bit today so they wouldn't take the light away from the smaller colas. I hope that wasn't a big deal; it was one leaf per plant. The cuts are clean, but one turned a leaf 90 degrees right after cutting.
