Hi all, Its only my first time, be gentle 😅. I have a bush issue that is making it look like the 80s again. Do I need to trim to allow more light penetration and air flow or let nature run it's course. There is also so Its an auto flower Dos is Dos, coming into week 6. Thanks

ALL of the plants energy to live, grow and prosper is made by the leaves.......nowhere else.......there is no energy being manufactured in the roots. Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth...........it is that simple! Budsites do not need exposure to light, they need leaves to make energy for buds to grow. Energy is not able to be "redirected", energy is divided equally throughout the entire plant to where growth is occurring. Apical dominance largely determines where energy goes, not leaf removal making energy magically go somewhere else. Lollipopping the lower sections of the branches does have a place though, however, defoliation is never really required. Your plant "knows" what it is doing.........don't molest it just because you feel the need to "do something"!

Just checked your diary. Cutting the nutes was a good move a burn was creaping in, might be slightly over watered so keep an eye on that.

Haha 80s again.. Yeah I'm dieing to say defoliate like a darlick but I would just leave her be, I bet she stretches out soon. Give her 48 hours dark initiate flower.. Nice bush tho. Love a good bush.

don't see any signs of flower phase.. you might have a photoperiod. as far as removing leaves, if you properly manage the canopy, that should never be necessary. I don't see much that needs to be removed. Maybe a leaf or two in congested areas where they will evenatually warp and contort and compete with each other for the same light. Any areas constantly causing condensation is also a good reason to remove "a" leaf. Remove as few as possible. LEaves are important plant organs. removing them doens't help th eplant 'concentrate' on anything else or any of that mumbo jumbo you sometimes hear. The only reason to remove a leaf is to avoid a disease vector. They are not "sinks" - that's bro science nonsense. Even shielded leaves at the bottom that don't remain pristine still perform important functions beside light capture.

hey 👋 nice plant 👌 Some people will scream scandal, but yes, I do recommend a little haircut 😏 Start by removing the huge fan leaves at the bottom of the plant. Then, look from the top and remove the mid-level leaves that are shading your bud sites. Finally, once it has stretched, don’t hesitate to lollipop the bottom 15–20%, which doesn’t produce much and whose energy is better redirected toward the canopy 👍
