Cold is great, but moisture definitely needs to be controlled. Even room temp will last several years of high viability. I've got some homegrown seeds i made 5-6 years ago and they still germinate near-100%. All i do is put in a bag in a drawer. Just for reference... not optimal and still lasts years. But, i'm the type of person if i haven't grown it after a few years, it's probably not going to be grown. long-term isn't much of a concern for me if half-assing it lasts 5+ years. Can't be certain of storage of the seeds i've purchased or received, so the home brew give a more accurate reference point. Even the commercial stuff i've only had a problem with viability from one vendor - seedsherenow - and those seeds were supposedly only 1-2 years old based on the package date. I looked them up. They are in pacific northwest.. maybe they have poor climate control? the best would be figuring out what works in the fridge for long-term viability. An air-tight container, maybe a dessicant of some type and a hygrometer to verify what works well...

Good afternoon, I usually store my seeds in small cosmetic-type jars and label the jar on the lid, that way they avoid humidity and mixing... but the idea of a themed binder is a good idea... there are some coin binders that should also work for your idea...
