bud leaf dry out
Help !!! Anyone have an idea of what causes the small leaf to curl up and dry out. Only the one plant out of five, the rest are good. Lower leaves are fine.

Wet or Dry Defoliation
When is the best time to top or defoliate when growing in soil? Before watering? After watering? Or does it really matter? Also would timing defoliation with nute feeding either before or after matter?

Hey All, What is the general attitude towards the moisture packs for curing? Do many people out there actually use them? Boveda and Integra Boost. Most important question. Are they worth it? I tried 63% Boost this cure. Not sure what I think so far.

Black Alaskan
Black Alaskan For those interested in trying something new, how about a coffee and weed wine? I call it Black Alaskan since I used Alaskan Thunderfuck every time I made it. Check out the link for the recipe at the bottom of my home page.

I found this quote in an article. "For the vegetative phase, a soil pH of 5.5-6.0 is required while for the budding phase, a pH of 7.0 is needed." I 've never heard of that one. Anyone else?

A question for the bag growers. I was underwatering and too often so started watering until getting some runoff. A problem I have is that before the water flows out the bottom it starts leaking from along the sides. making it difficult to judge how much is actually runoff.

I use GHE MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom. The feed charts seem to be more for hydroponic. I'm in soil. I have been adding fert once a week following their medium feed chart and just water the rest. Should I be giving fert every watering?

For those that have troubles with seed germination Quebec Cannabis Seeds sends out a paper of their recommended method with orders. Check out the photo section of either of my diaries. I am a true believer in this method.

A strain question for the Canucks. There is a strain known as Kootenay Thunderfuck grown in the Nelson B.C. area. Does anyone know for sure if this was an offshoot of Alaskan Thunderfuck?

Looking for info on an old strain. From Central America, likely sativa with 9 to 12 leafs per span. The center leaf was very long and curled under. I grew one from bag seeds years ago. Any ideas?

ph Problems
I have always used tap water in a big bucket that I scoop from to water. I am using Root Farm phDown. The tap water is 7.6 to 8. If I ph the bucket the ph rises again within a day. Is it Root Farm or should I ph only the amount I need per watering? Do other ph down's do this?

Light Science
Has anyone watched some Youtube videos by Dr Bruce Bugbee from Apogee Instruments? I find his lectures on lighting to be the most straight forward explanations I have heard yet. I found his vid called "The New 400-750 nm ePAR Range Explained with Dr. Bruce Bugbee" to be eye opening on lighting colours. I have changed my LED's based on a few of his vids. He explains what plants really want and those Burple lights just don't cut it. For those that don't know he is a professor at the University of Utah that legally studies cannabis growth. He takes the science of weed grow to a whole new level.

How to Trigger
30 years ago I grew a lot under HPS and have just recently gotten back into it. One thing we always did was to turn off the lights for a 24 hour period to supposedly trigger the plants faster. I learned this from the person who taught me how to grow. Has anyone heard of this?

Bad ph water, it bounces like a pogo stick
My city water supply sucks. The ph rises and falls in such a wide range that it is difficult to keep up to what it needs to level out the ph. I have seen 5.8 up to 8.9 just in the last month. Is there a cheaper method than using the standard PH down?
