03.07. OG KUSH Day 69# Nothing special is happening, it's been 4 days since the last update, I was a little late last time, so here I am so I won't be late again. Tomorrow is the end of the tenth week for the plants, this morning I fed them, before that I gave them only water for 2 waterings, that is, they were in water for a whole week. It's hot right now and I'm watering them every 3 days, this morning they each got 30+ liters, anyway, except for the ones in smaller pots, they got a lot less.

Week 3 begins for DS and MD ladies. All four are developing nice bud sites, but the plants have not stretched as much as I was expecting they would by now. Thank you to Kaoritracy from Mars-Hydro for the TSW2000 light, I am very happy with it's performance. Thanks for stopping by growfessors 👽🌳💚

(Days 28-35) (Day 29) Everything seems to have recovered fine from topping so I transplanted into their 1.7 gallon pots. They were pretty rootbound so this should make them nice and happy. Going to start LST after recovery. Got a ton of holes poked around the rim of the bucket which should make tying down easier. I’ve been asking around on some forums and reading some articles and I’ve decided to switch out my MH bulb for the included HPS bulb. Apparently HPS bulbs will stretch the nodes out quite a bit more and provide higher PAR value for the same amount of electricity. My plants are looking pretty small for day 29. Although, that could just be from stuffing 15 plants under one 250-400w light. I’ve been powering the lights up to 400w at night and back down to 250 during the day. 400 just gets it too hot during the day (86-88) without ventilation. That temperature should be fine in veg once my co2 has really built up some mycelium. (Day 32) Just got 14/15 topped. The BCTG runt is just going to be lst’d and not topped or fimmed. I decided to just fim the plants I started later so they’d have a bit more time to recover and catch up to the others. I also LST’d all 9 quite well. Almost had a stem break but she’s doing just fine now. The deformed bbb was accidentally fimmed and as a result it’s got a very trippy looking main stem that has branched off into 6 mains. I definitely have fungus gnats. Fuckers must have got in with that coco I bought from hydro store. This has never happened to me with just promix but the benefits of coco are too much to pass up. I might order an OG BioWar/capsbennies/grubgrenade to help naturally get rid of them. I’m getting some confirmed yellowing on bottoms of the zkittlez and WW’s. They must be heavy feeders because no other plant in the tent is getting yellow like that. I’m going to feed a compost tea, top dress everything at full strength and mulch in some worm castings to help break it down faster. Will also do a foliar spray with some insect frass, microbes and m1pps. (Day 33) Got some more of that marine phytoplankton stuff to help stabilize my RO water. It’s got a good amount of soluble magnesium and trade minerals in it so that should help stop the yellowing on the zkittlez and WW. (Day 34) Things are looking great so far and they’re all recovered from topping/transplant/lst and thriving. Some slight yellowing and a few of the plants are cupping from heat and high humidity. I just put in a dehumidifier to help bring the rh down. The m39/zkittlez bagseed plant is just outpacing everything in the tent by 4-6 days. No wonder organized crime used to grow it. I hear it can completely flower in 45 days with a solid yield and very little trimming or leaf matter. It’s very weak on the high and smell though. Nonetheless it should be nostalgic to try those old terps. There is still a small chance that it’s a super vigorous zkittlez plant too. Plants should be showing sex this coming week. Hoping for 8+ fems but I can make do with just 4. 1-3 is unlikely but that would piss me off beyond belief. I’ve heard of it happening though.

🌌 Cosmic Noodles — Week 9 From Seed (≈ Week 5 Flower | 12/12 From Seed) Divided Report — Growth vs Stress ⸻ Quick Recap — How We Got Here This run continues under 12/12 from seed, now entering: • 🌱 Week 9 from seed • 🌸 ≈ Week 5 of flowering At this stage, plants are expected to be: • Fully transitioned into flower • Actively stacking buds • Stabilizing structure after stretch However, this week became something more than a standard update… 👉 It became a controlled contrast experiment We now have three distinct expressions in the same environment: • Plant A → Stretch-driven structure • Plant B → Open, balanced, high-performance plant • Overwatered Plant → Intentionally stressed (root zone) Same room. Same feed. Same conditions. Different outcomes. ⸻ 🌊 The Overwatered Plant — Controlled Stress What was done This plant was intentionally overwatered to observe: • Root response • Recovery potential • Impact on flowering progression ⸻ 🔬 What overwatering actually does • Saturated medium → oxygen depletion in root zone • Roots lose function → nutrient uptake collapses • Plant shows deficiency symptoms without deficiency • Metabolism slows → flower development stalls ⸻ 👁️ Current Observations (Week 9 / Flower Week 5) From the visual timeline: • Heavy, swollen leaf droop (not thirst-related) • Necrotic/burnt leaf edges • Weak flower formation • Overall loss of vigor • No strong signs of recovery yet 👉 This is consistent with root hypoxia stress ⸻ 🛠️ Corrective Actions Taken • ✅ Full drainage of excess water • ✅ Substrate allowed to dry • ✅ Feeding paused (critical decision) • ✅ No additional stress applied This approach respects one key principle: 🌱 “Recovery is biological, not forced.” ⸻ ⚖️ Current Status — Honest Assessment At this moment: 👉 The plant is not showing a strong rebound And that’s important to state clearly. ⸻ 🔮 Possible Outcomes 🌱 Scenario 1 — Late Recovery (possible, but limited probability) • New growth improves • Leaf degradation slows • Buds continue developing (reduced yield expected) ⸻ ☠️ Scenario 2 — Progressive Decline (more likely) • Continued leaf death • Minimal metabolic recovery • Poor flower development ⸻ 👉 Either way, this plant has already fulfilled its purpose: It became a living demonstration of root zone importance ⸻ 🌿 Plant A — Stretch Expression Structure • Taller, more vertical growth • Longer internodal spacing • More “reaching” behavior Current State (Week 5 Flower) • Healthy foliage overall • Bud sites forming consistently • No stress signals 👉 This phenotype leans toward: 🌱 Structure over density ⸻ 🌿 Plant B — The Balanced Beast This one stands out immediately. Structure • Open architecture • Excellent light penetration • Strong lateral branching Response to Defoliation • Fast recovery • No visible stress • Continued aggressive development Flowering Progress • Clean bud stacking • Strong formation across canopy • Uniform development 👉 This is: 🌿 A plant fully aligned with its environment ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — Outcome Analysis Defoliation was applied to the healthy plants. Results: • No slowdown • No shock response • Improved light distribution • Strong continuation of flowering 👉 This confirms: • Timing ✅ • Intensity ✅ • Plant health baseline ✅ ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Feeding — Stability Check • 🌡️ Temperature → unchanged from previous week • 💧 Feeding → same regimen maintained • ⚖️ No variable changes introduced 👉 Critical insight: Differences observed are not environmental They are root-driven and plant-specific ⸻ 🧠 Key Lesson of Week 9 🌱 “In flower, roots dictate everything.” Even under identical conditions: • Healthy roots → explosive growth • Stressed roots → systemic collapse This week shows clearly: 👉 The plant is not just what you feed… 👉 It is what it can absorb and process ⸻ 🎥 Mr. Baggy — Introduction This week also marks: 🎬 The arrival of Mr. Baggy Even if limited visually in this update, his presence is now part of the journey. And honestly… perfect timing. Because this week represents: Real growing Not just pretty plants ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect — Moving Forward 🌿 Plant A & B • Continued bud stacking • Increased density over next 1–2 weeks • Gradual nutrient demand peak • Structure already defined → now focusing on weight ⸻ 🌊 Overwatered Plant Two paths remain: • 🌱 Slow stabilization (best case) • ☠️ Continued decline (most likely) No intervention planned beyond: Observation + stability ⸻ 🙏 Closing Words — From Grower to Growers To everyone following this journey: • The supporters • The silent watchers • The experienced growers • The beginners • The sponsors • The platform • The community 👉 Thank you. Not every week is perfect. Not every plant is beautiful. But every moment teaches something. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. A lot happened this week but she seems to be recovering and not worsening. I fed plain ph’d water end of last week but got a little too cavalier with too much top feeding and adding stuff without adjusting ph. All the top feeding is how debris and runoff kept getting into the base and mucking it up. I was out of homemade calmag so I had a bottle coming in the mail. I ended up adding calmag to not a lot of water and not ph’ing it and top feeding/pouring rest into the watering base later in the day after adding plain ph’d water. Wrong move. She appeared to slow down drinking but I chalked it up to a full base and plenty of top feed. Topsoil dried out very fast but I let her sit assuming she would start drinking eventually. This continued for 3-4 days, and also was happening to one of the photos I did the same thing to. Starting smelling something rank around this time so I checked the bases and found what is in pics 9+10. Ph was 8.5 and had this brown chunky film all over!! Took out all 3 bases and scrubbed thoroughly with soap and water and rinsed with some vinegar. I was worried about how dry and hard the soil/roots must be but I also didn’t want to do a full flush so close to her finishing. I opted to put 1/2 strength tiger bloom/big bloom and full strength calmag into full 1.8 gal water can ph’d to 6.5 and top feed slowly over ~20 min so it didn’t just rinse everything out. About 20% runoff which tested at 5.8 which seemed a little low but not as terrible as I feared. Cleaned the base back out after no more runoff and refilled with normal strength tiger bloom and calmag, ph’d to 6.5. This seems to have been the right move, 60 hours after flushing/cleaning/refilling, she has drank 75% of the base and topsoil is also not dried out. But we’re not done!!! The 2 photos also got a clean base and proper refill. The next day I checked the bases and found some insects on top of the water in ALL 3 bases shown in the last 2 pics. Teeny white things that kinda jumped on top of the water and seemed to stay underneath the fill port to get some of the light coming through? Hard to identify but I think they might have been springtails and not something destructive. Either way I made a weak vinegar/water solution and sprayed them aggressively over 24 hours and they seemed to die and not return. Only saw them in the bases and not anywhere on the plant. A lot of the leaf tip curling and spots spread from last week but seems to be contained and not worsening at the time of writing this. It seems contained to the top ~30% of the fan leaves and minimally on sugar leaves. While her buds did grow and thicken, I’m sure this set her back a little. All in all she had the water ph imbalance, definitely some light stress, nute burn and a little potassium deficiency. Got a little cheap digital microscope as well, trichomes still maturing with at least 30% still clear, plenty of white pistils as well. Some purple coming in on sugar leaf tips. Smell is much stronger. Idk if this is indicative of the buds as well or the “right way” but if I remove any small fan leaves I swipe the stem between two fingers to smell the oils. Still giving a very strong funky citrus scent with an earthy finish. Flipped lights to 12/12 for the photos at the end of the week. I just couldn’t wait any longer with how big the photos are. It also didn’t help that when I adjusted the light for the mimosa and moved it to the middle, the photos were getting much less and resulted in them stretching a lot with too much internode spacing. Not the end of the world but supercropping is definitely in their future.

I had to cut the girls this week, it's been about 3 days and I think they recovered pretty quickly. Plant 1 drinks 1.7 l, plant 2 - 1.5 l, plant 3 - 0.6 l, plant no. 1 has a mega trunk. I also put them under so that they are the same height.

These girls are super sticky! Resin is building up all over the place, including the leaves. I've been defoliating like crazy but they just keep coming back. These girl have a wide range of smells. Ranging from gas to mild strawberries. I'm hoping they get more strawberry as we finish.

7/19: Started new nutrients today. Filled gallon jug with new nutes. Poured half of new nute mix in half gallon jug. Poured the entire half gallon jug into reservoir. 7/20: Bumped light intensity to 50% 7/21: Filled reservoir to the 2nd line today. Added a total of 1 gallon to res to get it to that line. Poured the rest of the mixed nutes for this week (half gallon) and then another half gallon of just plain water. 7/24: Bumped light intensity to 55% 7/25: Sadness today 😞.. While in the process of doing more LST today I accidentally snapped the main stem. I Panicked! Moved plant back in opposite direction to counteract the split. Will be monitoring very closely! 🙏🏾 ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.

Hey family. Weekly update on these purple girls. One is super purple as the other two have shades of it. Getting close as most likely only a couple more weeks. I really couldn't be happier the way they're progressing and the flowers are dense to the touch with a super sweet smell.

Day 65 Update: Watered both plants with almost a gallon until runoff. Plant #2's water was dosed with Terpinator at 25ml/gal. 11 days left of flushing on Plant #1. This will be Plant #2's last nutrient watering, as she will start the flushing process next watering. Also added two yoyo hangers and two stakes to Plant #2 as her branches are getting heavy (not complaining 🤷‍♂️) Day 68 Update: Starting flush on Plant #2 today. Plant #1 has 8 days left of flushing. Watered both plants with almost a gallon of pH balanced water until runoff.
