🍮 Chem Brûlée – Pheno B Week 7 | Stealing the Spotlight Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! This week belongs to Chem Brûlée Pheno B. Some plants quietly move through each stage without drawing too much attention. Others somehow make you stop every time you walk into the room. This girl has become one of those plants. She isn't the biggest in the room, nor is she trying to compete for height alone, but everything about her feels... right. She's growing with elegance. Every internode is spaced beautifully, every branch has found its place, and from the base of the plant all the way to the main top, the leaf formation is simply gorgeous. She's entering the fourth week of flower exactly where she should be. Not behind. Not ahead. Just perfectly on schedule. If plants carried calendars, she'd be checking every box. 🌿 A Phenotype Finding Her Rhythm One of the goals of this project is seeing how twelve different cultivars express themselves while sharing exactly the same environment. Chem Brûlée Pheno B is becoming one of my favourites to observe because she's making everything look effortless. Standing around 130 cm tall, she has developed into a beautiful, elegant plant with long, healthy branches and excellent internodal spacing. The open structure allows light to reach deep into the canopy while maintaining fantastic airflow between the branches. It's the kind of architecture growers hope for but can't always create through training alone. Sometimes genetics simply do the work for you. 🌼 Buds Beginning to Tell the Story This week the flowers have taken another noticeable step forward. Every growing tip is now covered with fresh white pistils, and the individual bud sites are beginning to connect into what will soon become long, stacked colas. The stretch is gradually slowing down as more energy is redirected into flower production. The main top has become more defined, while the secondary branches are quickly catching up, creating a very balanced canopy from top to bottom. She's no longer just showing flowers. She's beginning to build them. Watching this transition happen is always one of my favourite parts of the flowering cycle. 🌱 Letting Genetics Shine Very little intervention has been needed this week. Apart from a little leaf tucking and allowing the branches to spread naturally, she's been left to do what she does best. The AutoPot system continues doing an outstanding job, delivering consistent moisture and nutrition around the clock. It's amazing how relaxed plants become when they never have to wonder when their next drink is coming. Combined with the stable environment inside the room, this phenotype has been able to focus entirely on growing instead of recovering from unnecessary stress. Sometimes the best technique is simply creating the perfect conditions and stepping back. 🍽️ Feeding This week's feeding consisted of: • Terra Bloom – 2 ml/L • Green Sensation – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Power Buds – 1 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L Along with small pH adjustments using Lemon Kick and pH Plus whenever required. The nutrient increase made this week was applied to the entire reservoir, and Chem Brûlée Pheno B has responded exactly as hoped, maintaining beautiful colour and healthy, vigorous growth throughout the canopy. 🌡️ Environment Stable conditions continue making all the difference. • Day temperature: 29°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 60% • pH: 5.8 • EC: 1.95 mS/cm • Solution temperature: 24°C • Root zone: 21°C • CO₂: 639 ppm Keeping these parameters consistent allows every phenotype to express its full potential without unnecessary environmental stress. The room is working exactly as intended, and this plant is making the most of it. 📸 Behind This Week's Photos Looking through this week's photographs, it's impossible not to appreciate how naturally elegant this phenotype has become. The close-up images highlight fresh clusters of white pistils forming at every node, while the wider shots reveal a beautifully symmetrical plant with outstanding spacing from the bottom branches all the way to the top cola. One of my favourite details is the leaf structure. Every fan leaf seems perfectly positioned without overcrowding the canopy, creating a plant that's not only healthy but incredibly photogenic. Sometimes a plant doesn't need to shout to stand out. She simply grows beautifully. 🔮 Looking Ahead Over the coming week I expect the vertical stretch to come to an end as Chem Brûlée Pheno B shifts her full attention toward flower production. The individual bud sites should begin merging together, the pistil count will continue increasing, and the first real signs of bud stacking should become much more noticeable. The plan remains exactly the same. Maintain the environment. Keep the AutoPot reservoir stable. Continue observing. And let this beautiful phenotype keep telling her own story. So far... I am not sure what the deal is with the Chibans. They look mutant to me maybe due to pollination. There is so much crystal forming up on them and they still look beautiful. Plant 1 is huge with big colas that are fragrant and very very sticky to the touch. Plant 2 looks the most normal as far as bud structure to me. She has not got the same flattened of tops but instead are more cone like . Also very very crystal heavy Clones 1 and 2 look like monsters to me. Their buds are bulbous and fat with a very flat round top and quite a bit larger then golf balls! I have never seen bud look like this but then I have never had pollination issues and watched the plants quite as much as I am at the moment. We will keep going with them and see what we get. I hope for some smokable bud and also some Sherbert banana seeds maybe🤪👍👍. Thanks for looking. Stay safe. Grow well.🌱🌱

18/05 se riega con 2,5L de agua (60% de agua de osmosis inversa + 40% de grifo) + 1ml de calmag de top crop, + 0,5gramos de trico+ de namaste nutrientes. PH 6.4 EC: 1.0 21/05 se riega con 3 L de agua de osmosis inversa + 1ml x L de cal mag + 3 ml de zym (treemix pro enzimas) PH: 6.4 EC: NO MEDÍ ya que es para empezar a lavar raíces

So gonna stick with 1ml/l for the rest of the grow now, i think the problems were just too much in the soil and since lowering nutes the problems are slowing down. Another week or two for the Zkittlez, seeing amber on the sugar leaves but not quite on the buds yet although it is mostly cloudy. Lemon AK is behing as it was germed later but still looks to be forming some nice buds and now has a fantastic smell of its own. Looking forward to these so much cant wait!!!!

This week noticed the plants grow considerably faster, and the roots have shown impressive growth after just one week.

This is my first ever experience with growing cannabis. So i lack some experience. But i think overal i’m doing fine for my first week.

Tag 75: Die Pflanze sieht echt schlimm aus 😱 Ich hoffe das meine Rettungsmaßnahmen bald Wirkung zeigen 😕 Tag 80: Auf anraten habe ich mir eine ph pen usw. gekauft. Der Ph wert liegt bei 8 😱 ! Deshalb werde ich keinen Calmag Dünger mehr verwenden. Und den Ph wert einstellen müssen und abwarten...

A lot happened this week but she seems to be recovering and not worsening. I fed plain ph’d water end of last week but got a little too cavalier with too much top feeding and adding stuff without adjusting ph. All the top feeding is how debris and runoff kept getting into the base and mucking it up. I was out of homemade calmag so I had a bottle coming in the mail. I ended up adding calmag to not a lot of water and not ph’ing it and top feeding/pouring rest into the watering base later in the day after adding plain ph’d water. Wrong move. She appeared to slow down drinking but I chalked it up to a full base and plenty of top feed. Topsoil dried out very fast but I let her sit assuming she would start drinking eventually. This continued for 3-4 days, and also was happening to one of the photos I did the same thing to. Starting smelling something rank around this time so I checked the bases and found what is in pics 9+10. Ph was 8.5 and had this brown chunky film all over!! Took out all 3 bases and scrubbed thoroughly with soap and water and rinsed with some vinegar. I was worried about how dry and hard the soil/roots must be but I also didn’t want to do a full flush so close to her finishing. I opted to put 1/2 strength tiger bloom/big bloom and full strength calmag into full 1.8 gal water can ph’d to 6.5 and top feed slowly over ~20 min so it didn’t just rinse everything out. About 20% runoff which tested at 5.8 which seemed a little low but not as terrible as I feared. Cleaned the base back out after no more runoff and refilled with normal strength tiger bloom and calmag, ph’d to 6.5. This seems to have been the right move, 60 hours after flushing/cleaning/refilling, she has drank 75% of the base and topsoil is also not dried out. But we’re not done!!! The 2 photos also got a clean base and proper refill. The next day I checked the bases and found some insects on top of the water in ALL 3 bases shown in the last 2 pics. Teeny white things that kinda jumped on top of the water and seemed to stay underneath the fill port to get some of the light coming through? Hard to identify but I think they might have been springtails and not something destructive. Either way I made a weak vinegar/water solution and sprayed them aggressively over 24 hours and they seemed to die and not return. Only saw them in the bases and not anywhere on the plant. A lot of the leaf tip curling and spots spread from last week but seems to be contained and not worsening at the time of writing this. It seems contained to the top ~30% of the fan leaves and minimally on sugar leaves. While her buds did grow and thicken, I’m sure this set her back a little. All in all she had the water ph imbalance, definitely some light stress, nute burn and a little potassium deficiency. Got a little cheap digital microscope as well, trichomes still maturing with at least 30% still clear, plenty of white pistils as well. Some purple coming in on sugar leaf tips. Smell is much stronger. Idk if this is indicative of the buds as well or the “right way” but if I remove any small fan leaves I swipe the stem between two fingers to smell the oils. Still giving a very strong funky citrus scent with an earthy finish. Flipped lights to 12/12 for the photos at the end of the week. I just couldn’t wait any longer with how big the photos are. It also didn’t help that when I adjusted the light for the mimosa and moved it to the middle, the photos were getting much less and resulted in them stretching a lot with too much internode spacing. Not the end of the world but supercropping is definitely in their future.

I have been very busy over the last week so I haven't had much time to do any documentation. There isn't much going on at the moment so you aren't missing out on much. There have been a couple of leaves on this plant showing some strange markings. Nothing that is uniform nor reoccurring. I think these defects I show in the video are localized to just two or three leaves so I am not too concerned at the moment. I will keep an eye on her for the time being. Other than that, the plant looks really happy and is growing very well. Good color all around and getting very bushy.

For nutrients, as directed by the GHE Medium Flora Feed schedule for the week corresponding with how old the plant is. All three seeds are on slightly different weeks as follows (Which means all the weeks may be off on the diary, I think I did it as accurate as I could) - Strawberry Banana Auto (SN) sprouted on 10/15/22 1 Cold Creek Kush (CCK1) sprouted on 10/27/22 The other Cold Creek Kush (CCK2) sprouted on 11/05/22 For these plants, I'm not doing any crazy training or anything, simply defoliating when I think it's necessary, but otherwise letting the plants grow. Sort of hard to update or have this diary be 100% accurate as the plants are not at my residence but at a buddy's. RIP the 2 Cold Creek Kush plants, both turned out to be male and are later culled. I will keep the photos in this diary for preservation and to look back on when I eventually grow CCK again.

Ladies and gentlemen here we are for a few days away from starting our third week of flower and she is now starting to crown and all of her shoots are starting to shoot up towards the light.. from the beginning I've given this plant a complete beating and she's taking it with stride.. as far as the high stress training and low stress training goes that's all over with and we're just going to let her ride out from here on out... I'm not expecting any massive size buds I'm expecting a whole lot of thumb size buds and I'm okay with that...
