Lots of growth this past week, I feel like all have nearly doubled in size. The GG’s are just about to enter their transition from veg to flower. There is a pistol or 2 on each. The NL’s continue to play catch up, but no signs of transition...I’d have been shocked if I noted any pistils. By next week they should start appearing.
I have the girls their first compost tea, catered to the vegetative stage, so lots on N, small amounts of P and K, and of course a nice boost of food for the microbial colony in medium.
I started some low stress training and all have taken to it nicely. This lot seems pretty quick to recover so I have been manipulating each every other day to spread out those canopies.
Next week I’ll top dress the GG’s, and likely will hold back a week (maybe) before I top dress the NL’s. I’m going to keep a closer tab on how much N they ladies get when in flower...I think it was the extra N in teas that led to small buds at harvest. I’ll also be upping P and K by quite a bit, so I may be too dressing with bloom only.
Thanks, take it slow!
They are getting there, I love the organic style of growing, but getting a new style dialed in has its challenges…each one better than the last I suppose. Thanks!!
I guess anything is possible, but from what I have seen it doesn’t seem to bother the plant at all. Some of the zkittlez plants I did previously had corkscrew leaves on new growth, they eventually straightened out. I’m hoping the same happens here, but if not, I’m not concerned. In general one bad leaf shouldn’t make or break this run. I hope. Thanks!!
Interesting re: the seeds. I have been reading on germinating wheat or barley seeds and killing them off as soon as they sprout by blitzing them in a blender. The solution apparently is rich in enzymatic activity and glucoses that ameliorate soil. Though I doubt that was the idea from your soil supplier.
Yeah man, this was a first for sure. Interesting thought you have, anything is plausible. The only other explanation I could come to was that a mouse got in there and started storing bird seed. Meh, whatever the cause, didn’t seem to cause an issue. It was a risk, but I had seeds ready to go and didn’t want to waste them.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango )
