All are doing fantastic. GG’s are trucking along, NL’s I tossed in are a week behind, but given these are on the faster side for autos they are catching up in size. The week stagger due to 2 GG’s not popping will be negligible by harvest time...they very well may all finish at same time (it’s all relative).
The one GG that has the odd markings on first set of leaves still shows no other sign that this is going to be a significant complication. Thus far, it is a visual blemish and that’s it. Of course I will lament over it, but I think it may just be a genetic hiccup...fingers crossed it is only “skin deep”.
All in all, off to a great start. Will be applying a few lessons learned this time around. I’m still pretty sad about how small the buds were in my first orgo run. I’ll be adding in a few more things this time around, watching my N in flower, and move towards a fungal based tea in flower. I may try my hand at culturing some barley and stilling the tea for 48 hours...I have some time to figure out a game plan.
Will be starting LST next week, other than that these ladies are on auto pilot.
Thanks!!
They are getting there, I love the organic style of growing, but getting a new style dialed in has its challenges…each one better than the last I suppose. Thanks!!
I guess anything is possible, but from what I have seen it doesn’t seem to bother the plant at all. Some of the zkittlez plants I did previously had corkscrew leaves on new growth, they eventually straightened out. I’m hoping the same happens here, but if not, I’m not concerned. In general one bad leaf shouldn’t make or break this run. I hope. Thanks!!
Interesting re: the seeds. I have been reading on germinating wheat or barley seeds and killing them off as soon as they sprout by blitzing them in a blender. The solution apparently is rich in enzymatic activity and glucoses that ameliorate soil. Though I doubt that was the idea from your soil supplier.
Yeah man, this was a first for sure. Interesting thought you have, anything is plausible. The only other explanation I could come to was that a mouse got in there and started storing bird seed. Meh, whatever the cause, didn’t seem to cause an issue. It was a risk, but I had seeds ready to go and didn’t want to waste them.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango )
