This was the last week in the vegetative cycle. They started flowering the last two days of this week. WOW does it come quick with auto flowers! I'm a little disappointed as I thought the Mango Smiles had longer lifespans and hoped they'd recover and thrive once they had some final containers. However, I transplanted and they started Flowering the very next week. So naturally got a bit stunted.
Fortunately I did talk with some good people I know who've grown many autos and the next attempt I won't transplant; just germinate and straight into the final container. Mephisto does describe the "Autoflower Learning Curve" and now more than ever I believe that's true. They really are like ticking time bombs and if everything isn't going good from the beginning, there's usually drastic negatives that can happen to massively lower the plants health/vitality/yields.
My new light showed up and I hoped it would possibly help with the growth on this plant. I'll have to monitor plants closely for a change with the new strength and spectrum.
The SP 6500 by Mars hydro is big and a bit hard for me to hang on my own, but I managed to set it up without dropping it. The light is absolutely gorgeous and has an equally beautiful light spectrum. How I stayed with the blurple leds for so long is crazy. The full spectrum led is the way to go 100%. I'm currently running the light around 45% strength and will bump it up slowly as needed. I love that it dims and you get decent photos without pulling them out or by Turning the lights off.
@@Trumptight420, it's mephistogenetics.com if you go on now it shows what will be for sale today at 10 am mountain time.
If you're Canadian or European/ other countries you might get a different homepage from the USA.
Haha... πββοΈ same age, strain, and pheno plants with slightly different environments can turn out so differently. I shared a photo with you, and by chance I come here and read that π. π€£π€£π€£π€£
@Weed_be_thy_medicine, oh nice. I managed to score like 1 grape walker in one of the recent mephisto Mondays. Maybe I'll have to fire it up too. And I'm definitely not doing any transplant this time.
@Experimentgreen,ah thanks for the master advice ππ». Iβm gonna do a mango smile and grape Walker kush from M as well hence learning from you :)
@Weed_be_thy_medicine, I've had good and bad luck with the transplants. I think the key is doing it early if so. Within the first 3 weeks and a smooth transplant is essential....no stress. Which is hard to accomplish.
Any chance that's just a small strain? Did you check with the seed guys? I thought I saw a "500g weight max" but that's usually wet weight anyway.
@spyder, thanks friend. I appreciate that. If you haven't grown any Mephisto lately you should! They're having "mephisto Mondays" every week in their store so seeds have been easier to get.
@420learning, I like mephisto, even if their plants end up small they're so coated in trichomes you almost don't have to trim them. Just a small, quick once over and they're good.
