Dry bud weights: Plant 1 = 22g (Week 12) Plant 2 = 64g (Week 15) Plant 3 = 56g (Week 14) Total Yield = 142g Avg. Yield per Plant = 47.33g All three plants were drastically different to one another: -Plant 1 grew rather quickly and matured far sooner than the others. -Plant 2 seemed to suffer from a weird issue where it simply never stopped vegetating, despite producing full blown flowers. -Plant 3 was relatively fine overall. Since this is my first grow ever, it's hard for me to discern where exactly I could have improved, so the flavor is more like the smell. However, I will properly flush the next two plants and see if the flavors improve. Overall, with the first plant harvested, I can say I've enjoyed growing this strain as my first, even though it didn't have that Sour Diesel flavor I've been used to all these years.

Reviews. Nutrient
Plant 1 never showed any signs of a CalMag deficiency, this was the only true CalMag amendment I used. It seems to have done the job!
While I did used liquid fertilizers throughout my grow, having these in my soil proved to work out quite well! This was my first grow ever, and Down to Earth's products were my favorite to use so far. I'm looking forward to trying out some of their other products when I eventually try out a soil-based organic grow!
I can see why people love this stuff so much! Every time my plants showed any signs of stress, I'd give them some of this stuff (either directly in the soil, on the roots for a transplant, or in their water) and they'd be good as new in a day or two! I've been using it on ALL my plants for trans-planting and early root development and it has been fantastic.
These products definitely do their job! My bud does have a chemical-like taste to it, despite a week-long flush. Since it was my first grow, it's hard to tell if this is due to the lack of flushing of these fertilizers, or something else completely. Either way, Fox Farm fertilizers definitely did their job!
Reviews. Lamp
Kind of in love with this grow light. Glad I purchased two of them!
Reviews. Tent
Wish I purchased a larger grow tent. I honestly did not realize how large these autoflowers can get. The tent is still great though! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Plant 1 never showed ANY signs of any deficiencies or stunted growth through it's entire life-cycle. It had a very small and quickly solved case of powdery mildew early on in veg (around veg week 2-3). It smelt fantastic ever since it started to have a scent. That aroma didn't go anywhere after drying/curing either. The one downside is the taste in comparison to the aroma, it's somewhat chemical-like, despite a week long flushing period. The leaves never started yellowing, despite the plant being almost 2 weeks ahead of Plants 2 and 3 and having buds and trichomes that were clearly ripe. Perhaps I should have started to flush sooner or the buds were over-ripe? Plant 3 started to lose a bit of color before harvest, as opposed to Plant 1. After drying, the taste was almost identical to Plant 1, who has been curing for over a month. I found this weird because Plant 1 was flushed for one week while Plant 2 was flushed for two weeks, yet they tasted almost identical. Both plants have a bad chemical after-taste despite the thorough flushes on both. Unsure if it's overfertilization or what had happened really. Though, it's definitely something to note.

I noticed some growth that looked like seed pods on my plants. I am completely new to growing, so I was wondering what you guys thought. Is this normal bud growth, or are these seed pods? I removed a few and there was seemingly nothing inside.

These are female calyxes and completely normal for female plants. You are correct, they are indeed seed pods, but unless fertilized with male pollen, will remain empty/seedless. Masses of these calyxes result in the "buds" we smokers all seek. The older primordia/pre flowers that occur near the stems mature first and this is why they are much larger and swollen in comparison to the calyxes that are now forming in the new flowers. Hope this helps, Organoman.

My harvested weed smells amazing, but tastes horrible. I'd say a bad chemical-like after taste. I thought it was due to poor flushing, but I flushed the 2nd plant for over 2 weeks and the 1st plant for 1 week. Not sure what caused this... Overfertilization? Something else?

U been curing for over two weeks?? First of all, make sure its not mold. Mold leaves a bad weird taste after smoking it. So make sure its properly dry and doesnt have that mold whiff to it when broken up. If thats fine and u didnt spray it with anything like neem oil during the grow move to next point... Second- Sour D takes ages to cure, most of the Chem Dog family does. 2 Months is more like the time u need on that one my friend. I have Sour D im smoking now I harvested last april- And its only been the last few months its settled down and is now very very smooth and easy to smoke. But I rushed the dry, so I admit its partly my own fault but even in years when I dried slower, It still takes longer than 2 weeks to cure. Give it more time and make sure your burping often for another two weeks at least.
