2/9: -Plant 1 watered with 6.5 pH water. -Plants 2 and 3 watered with Tiger Bloom (10mL/gal), CalMag (4mL/gal) and Big Bloom (~2tsp/gal). 2/10: -I'm getting ready to pull Plant 1. I'll probably water it once more tomorrow and let it dry out for a day or two before cutting it. 2/11: -Plant 1 was watered again with regular non-nute water (6.5pH), going to be the last watering it will receive. Will allow it another day or two in the tent to further senesce. -Plant 2 and Plant 3 were watered with 8 mL/gal of Tiger Bloom and 3.5mL/gal of CalMag. -Continued defoliation of Plants 2 and 3, especially Plant 2 due to a lot of undergrowth which is getting no light. There was so much undergrowth that I was forced to remove at least some of it to prevent the overall plant from suffering. 2/12: -Plant 1 has been pulled and trimmed. I don't think it's going to be a very high yield for this particular plant due to the light schedule I had early on, but the buds smell fantastic and I'm EXTREMELY excited to smoke some in a week or so. I'll be sure to post the overall bud yield before smoking anything. -Plant 2 and 3 were given the rest of yesterdays watering solution. -As I predicted early on in the grow, Plant 1 was far ahead of both Plant 2 and 3. Plant 2 should be ready to pull in about 2-3 weeks, while Plant 3 should be ready in 1-2 weeks. 2/13: -Watered both plants with 6.0 pH solution, similar solution to the previous feeding, but with a little less Tiger Bloom (8mL/gal). 2/14: -Both plants given a small watering with the same solution as yesterday. 2/15: -Finished off the same solution on both plants. It wasn't too much at all, however I will probably give them a day without water. -I may start pulling back on the nutrients for Plant 3, if not the next feeding than soon after.

I noticed some growth that looked like seed pods on my plants. I am completely new to growing, so I was wondering what you guys thought. Is this normal bud growth, or are these seed pods? I removed a few and there was seemingly nothing inside.

These are female calyxes and completely normal for female plants. You are correct, they are indeed seed pods, but unless fertilized with male pollen, will remain empty/seedless. Masses of these calyxes result in the "buds" we smokers all seek. The older primordia/pre flowers that occur near the stems mature first and this is why they are much larger and swollen in comparison to the calyxes that are now forming in the new flowers. Hope this helps, Organoman.

My harvested weed smells amazing, but tastes horrible. I'd say a bad chemical-like after taste. I thought it was due to poor flushing, but I flushed the 2nd plant for over 2 weeks and the 1st plant for 1 week. Not sure what caused this... Overfertilization? Something else?

U been curing for over two weeks?? First of all, make sure its not mold. Mold leaves a bad weird taste after smoking it. So make sure its properly dry and doesnt have that mold whiff to it when broken up. If thats fine and u didnt spray it with anything like neem oil during the grow move to next point... Second- Sour D takes ages to cure, most of the Chem Dog family does. 2 Months is more like the time u need on that one my friend. I have Sour D im smoking now I harvested last april- And its only been the last few months its settled down and is now very very smooth and easy to smoke. But I rushed the dry, so I admit its partly my own fault but even in years when I dried slower, It still takes longer than 2 weeks to cure. Give it more time and make sure your burping often for another two weeks at least.
