I enjoyed its ease of use along with the results during vegetative stage (as a supplement). It doesn't, IMHO, meet the needs during flower (delivers too low ppm readings. I will continue to use RG during my summer outdoor balcony grow as a foliar spray and for compost teas, but will need to supplement to ensure plant has the right amount of nutrients it needs to survive the dog days of summer.
I use these sparingly during the Fall 2022 grow. I plan to use FF extensively during the spring 2023 grow season, since I will be switching to hydro using coco coir and bubble buckets. Rating is based on past grow experience. Not sure I would use the Happy Frog F&F next grow.
Use this to top dress during weeks 5-6 of flower. The thing is this: amendments take a long time to breakdown, so the plant can uptake what it needs. I really didn't notice that much of a difference, but that could be the fact my ph was way out of wack, so not the best conditions for nutrient uptake.
Both LED function well in their 2x2 and 2x4 grow tent set ups. The SF-2000 with dimmer allows me, again, to dial in the appropriate PPFDs ranges dependent on stage of growth.
Love my FC-E3000 LED. The only time I would change out would be to upgrade to a FC-E4800. While the harvest of gifted clones grown in the 3x3 was light, the quality is the BEST I've grown to date. The Mars-Hydro had a lot to do with the results. Easy to dial in PPFDs at the appropriate grow stages with the dimmer.
The BCG cultivar gave me immediate grief from the get go. Really struggled after transplanting from rock wool to soil. Also gave me and the other clones a spider mite infestation. BTW, Organishield is the shit when it comes to IPM. Saw results within a couple of days and in less than two weeks, spider mites were complete history.
@BigDaddyK, just a heads up that on day 13 half of my 12 cuttings have emerging roots. This is only the second time cutting/cloning (first time a complete disaster). I purchased the Midas Hydro b/c it was recommended in a GrowWeedEasy article I read about cloning. GWE also recommended using both gel and rooting powder, but I experimented with just the gel out the gate. Transplanting those clones into dixie cups in the morning and I'll post some updated photos in next week's diary update. Check it out, if you're interested and have the time.
@BigDaddyK, Midas Hydro is the brand I use, which was purchased from Amazon. First time using a rooting gel and peat pellets. Day 6 today, so I hope to see roots emerging in next 3-4 days.
