Qutro Hey Gromies,π
This time I will run one of my favourite strain again the Liberty haze by Barneys Farm. I will be growing them in a 25l smart pot with Zamnesia and Biobizz nutrient line.π½π±
To start nothing special seed put into water for 24 hour and than to paper towel. After two days 5 from the 7 seeds were out of the shell so placed them in to their first place of residence.
On the 5th day they emerged from the soil and that's where we are at the moment.π
I am looking forward to seeing them shine and lets have fun and make magic together my fellow gromies.π

Qutro So letβs go, girls, come on.π± This week was full of anticipation and luckily all five ladies survived and are growing nicely.
Just sprayed them with Root juice mixed in water(PH 6,5)when the soil at the top was totally dry. A humidifier was put in the tent together with a small fan.ππ§βπΎ
I wish you Happy Holidays gromies with love and a lot of good weed to smoke.π¨π

Qutro So another week is passed. Hi fellow growers.π§βπΎ
Basically this week was relaxed in the garden. The girls are growing nicely.π
I didnβt change anything so watered them with Root juice when the soil was totally dried up. The lamp is on 52 cm and turned the dimmer to 25%.
I am going to repot them in the following days.
May this new year will be full with adventure and growth, growmies.ππ¨π½

Qutro Hi gromies,
So we are entering the third week of veg. The girls in the small container clearly were not feeling well so I transplanted them to their final place.
It took two days for them to get used to the new place of residence but after all, explosion of growth was observed.π
Light intensity is 50% on 52cm.
The first real irrigation with nutrients took place as well.
Iβm really happy with the weekly progress. Letβs hope for another wonderful week in the garden. It will be a busy one I guess.π±

Qutro Everything went according to plan this week. We focused on making the plants as strong as possible before starting the trainings. It seems they are ready as 5 nodes have grown.
I watered the Sisters twice this week both time with the same nutrient portion.
Light intensity is 50% with the same distance of 52cm.π±
I used Algamic mixed in water as well as foliar spray. It seemed the ladies liked it however I read the only benefits from foliar watering have at the dark hours as the stomataβs are open and ready to consume nutrients.
I hope they keep going like this.π½

Qutro So this week was busier in the garden compared to the last oneβs.
I started to top the girls and made some LST right after. They are in the age when I have to teach them to be bushier instead of lanky so basically this was our challenge for the week.
2 bigger fan leaves from each were taken off from the middle of the plant but still waiting with bigger defoliation.π±
Unfortunately, I noticed that one of the girls is more said than her sisters so I gave her a bit rest and took out from direct light. I think she was slightly overwatered.
Her leaves curled down and I was thinking this is the end but after a few days she was just looking better.π Btw. It seems she is the sativa one in the family as she is the only with 9 finger leaves.π½
Light intensity raised to 60% on 48cm distance.
Watered when the soil was completely dry. Every time with fertiliser.
RH light off 40-50%
RH light on 55-60%.

Qutro Hi fellow growers,
Another exciting week is behind us and I must say the busiest also. I really enjoyed every moment with the girls in the garden.
Plants starting to be bushy so almost every day I could just make small adjustments. I wouldnβt call it LST, just bent the branches in the direction where there was no other possibly bud site.
Did a medium defoliation as well to be sure all the lower branches in the middle of the plant are not shaded.π±
Watered twice this week with 1,5 liter of nutrient mix when soil was completely dry.
Raised the dimmer to 65%.
They are just living the HIGH life without showing any sign of stress. Recovering super fast after the trainings and I just love it.π
Really looking forward to see them flowering soon. I think after 2 weeks.π½

Qutro So the end of 7 was has arrived and it is time to finish the last touches with the plant trainings and prepare for the SCROG net. I bent, tied down the branches and tried to bring all five plants to the same height. Luckily it worked out pretty well.ππ
I also did a bit defoliation, but only in the centre of the plants and mostly bigger fan leaves.
Watered twice a week with dechlorinated water and full nutrients.π
Next week i will place the net and actually we are ready to flip to 12/12.π¨π½

Qutro Hi fellow growers,
So reaching the eighth week of veg when we entered an interesting phase of the cultivation.
A heavy defoliation took place and the lower branches are pruned to ensure that the plants put all their energy into the upper branches, where the buds will later appear.
We put the Scrog net also around 32 cm above the top of the pot.
Well, they had it quite hard and it took a few days for them to recover.
So it was a stressful week for the girls but at the end they are just looking happy again.π±π
Watered twice a week with dechlorinated water 1,6 liter/plant. Added Bio Grow to the schedule next to Fish mix as we want to trigger the flowering soon.
Changed the lamp for the ts3000.
Light intensity is 75% at the moment.
These were the highlights for this week.
I wish everyone a lovely week full with happiness in the garden.ππ½

Qutro Week 9 of veg (13/01-20/01)
There is not much happened at the beginning of the week, but as we progressed, ideas popped up.
As I have already seen the importance of the enzymes in your diaries fellow-growers , I also took it into the irrigation scheme.(1ml/l)
Together with some freeze-dried culture of microorganisms. These bacteria transform organic waste into re-uptakeable nutrients for the plants and it stimulates growth.π±
End of the week i did a last big defo and was pruning almost all of the lower branches and leaves. I have a plan to flip slowly to bloom during this week(i know i told the same last week but it didnβt work).
Watered twice a week with de-chlorinated water 1,7l/plant on full feeding schedule.
Light intensity is 65% at the moment.
I canβt wait to see the Sisters bloom.ππ½

Qutro So another week has passed which can be best described as a hybrid week.
After last weekβs last preparations for the flowering just wanted to let the Sis relax.
Watered them twice a week as usual with the same scheme. We also pulled a fresh top coat with foliar spray from a great mixture of Algamic and Acti-vera in the middle of the week.π±
At the same time also started to gradually reduce the number of daytime hours first to 16/8 and after two days to 14/10 as the end of the week approached. Next week will be the first flowering one.
Actually the longest veg period I have ever had but it was worth every time. It perhaps could have been a week or 1,5 shorter but I am pretty sure now the ladies are ready for the bloom as they look strong and healthy as those greek goddesses.
Light intensity was turned back to 65% as I saw a little sign of light stress but thatβs just fine.
Wish every Growmie a hazy week in the garden with full of plant love.π½π

I tucked the longer branches under the net.
Light intensity is 75% now.
I didnβt even make photos at the beginning of the week.

Qutro 2nd week of flowering has passed,
During this week we continued to maintain the canopy, we want to prevent any one stem from getting much taller than the others in this stretching period. It was more or less successful.
The tent was an absolute jungle so it was necessary to take bigger leaves which covered lower bud sites. I didn't do that much defo cause wanna do this in week 3 but this was a real must.
Watered twice this week(2L per plant), both time with fertilizer(see above).
Light intensity is 75% at the moment.
The most likely sativa one is a bit behind the others but thatβs just fine at this stage. Actually i can see 2 different phenos so that is pretty OK in my opinion.π±
It was great to see this week's development and really looking forward to the next one.π
Happy growing to you all fellow Farmers! Peaceππ½

Qutro Whats up guys! Welcome to the garden of Liberty. This is flowering week 3.π½π±
This girls are just great, they are growing amazingly beautiful and I loved how they filled the tent so was really hard to see them loosing their nice green foliage.
But it had to happen this week, last defo and pruning. Took all of the lower leaves and even bud sites which will never see the light. I did it yesterday so donβt know how they will react but knowing them they are recovering very soon.π
Watered only twice but half way through the week I noticed that next week it will probably be three as they are starting to get hungry more and more.
I didnβt see any deficiencies so far so will just keep the recommended nutrient dosage, it works really well with Biobizz.
Light intensity is 75%.
I think this was the last week when the ladies have been trained. They haven't stretched that much.
From next week they can just focus full on flowering.
Letβs see what comes out of it.
See you next week Growmies.ππ¨

Qutro Flowering week nr. 4,
It was not so busy in the garden this week. The stretching is definitely stopped and buds began to get shape. I like to see this transformation and really enjoying every moment I can spend with the Sisters.π±π
The only think I had to change is pull the light a bit higher βcause I can see some leaf discolouration and some brown pistols in the middle of the tent and itβs because of too much light I guess. Brown pistils are a bit too early imo.
Light brightness is 80% at the moment.
Watered twice this week with dechlorinated water and fertilisers.
They are not the fastest flowering plants at all but this thanks to one of the parentβs genetics(G13).
They started to get a little smelly as well.π
I think thatβs all for this weekβs report.
Have a nice growing week everyone! Peace!π¨

Qutro So here we are with flowering week 5. Whatβs up fellow growers?
In this week you can see that autumn is coming soon and I'm not entirely happy about it. I think it is to early only at the 5th week of flowering. The budβs are not swollen as much as they should and I donβt really know the answer. Pistils are turning brown as well faster than normal. I am struggling with temperature as it is around 29 degrees celsius with the light on so that can make effect on the bud development but I donβt really know what is happening.
I donβt see any pollination either so letβs hope for a good finish.π§π€
The tent had to be rearranged a little because the plant in the middle suffered a lot from the direct light so I pulled a smaller plant in to itβs place.
There is started to build some frost on the buds so thatβs a good sign.βοΈπ±
I got for my birthday a PAR meter from my wife so also positive things happened this week.haha.. It seems quite accurate, so it will certainly be a great help to us in the future.ππ
Light intensity is 100% and watered twice this week as always with dechlorinated water and fertilisers.
Thank you for checking in. See you next week, everybody.π¨π½

Qutro Flowering week 6,
After a difficult week this time we tried to fix the problemβs. After being recommended by a dear fellow grower to increase the humidity in the tent, things seem to turn OK. Buds started to gain weight and getting fatter.πThanks for the tip again @Handmade_BrianG
π I couldnβt be happier.
Apart from that, it only had to be watered twice during this week.
Generally two phenotypes can be differentiated based on smell and plant structure. The smaller plants smell more like herbs and floral. The others are like pine with a squeeze of lime.ππ±
We were busy so no pictures was taken until the last day of the week.

Qutro Hi Growmies,
Welcome at week 7 of the 12/12 light cycle.
More pistils turning brown and not so much new ones are forming. Buds are in the ripening stage as almost all the trichs look milky with a few clear on the lowest buds.
The smell is not really changed in the last week.
Had to take off some leaves which covered lower bud sites. It seems the Sisters can be harvested 8,5-9 weeks after turned te light to 12/12 and thatβs what the breeder recommends if you like to have the effects I am looking for.ππ±
There were two difficult flowering weeks when the girls did not developed as I would have liked but I learned a lot from this experience as well.π For now I was able to fix the RH and temp issue.
This was probably the last week when they got fed. I thought it will be a longer flowering trip as my first Liberty grow took a few weeks longer, but harvest is on the corner this time.βοΈπ½

Qutro Welcome to week 18, dear growmies!!π
This week the Sisters continued there final race to finish. Since we managed to get RH under 50% buds are more dense and resin production is increased as well especially on Pheno1. Waiting for the perfect time to harvest. It seems that they will not be harvested at the same time, one of them is much ahead of the others. So decided to give her a flush till run off. Will probably chop next weekend.
The others were watered half of the week with nutrients and yesterday already only with pH water. Itβs their final chance to pack on a little more weight and at the perfect time we will make the chop. I think 10-14 days left. βοΈπ±
There are no more clear trichomes even on the lower buds, ripening is in full stage and they are also getting frosty.βοΈ
Smell on Pheno 1 is great like sweet, pine and lime.
Letβs hope that nothing crazy is going to happen this last weekβs and we can finish this journey with a great harvest and a lot of fun.π½π
Sending all the good vibes and wishing you the best of luck in the garden!
Peace. βοΈ
Qutro Hi everybody,π
I wasn't sure if I should post another week of flowering or not so thatβs the reason why I am a bit late. Since there was one lady that wasn't ready, I decided to add.
Four plants were chopped. Obviously next to my daily work I didnβt have time to trim all plants at once, so I progressed day by day. I moved them to the drying tent with 55% RH, they will remain there as long as needed.
Smell and bud structure is different in at least 3 phenoβs so I decided to mark and separate them in the tent.π±
The lonely Sis needed 10 days more but she is now also enjoying 48 hours of darkness before she will be cut. Only watered with de-chlorinated PHβd water when she was thirsty.
After that I will add harvest!
Hope you are doing well Growmies and your plants too. Have a lovely weekend to you all!π¨π½

Qutro So here we are with the last chapter of this journey which had many ups and downs but overall was a great experience. I love growing, it slowly became my passion thanks for GD and the community. It makes so much better, and lot of fun, one can interact with others and can learn from each other. Thanks for everyone who was with me in this last 2 years, you made me a better grower.π±π
So letβs talk about the progress. I grew Liberty for the second time because it was my first photoperiodic strain 2 years ago and totally impressed me with itβs high yield and the effects. I wasnβt disappointed this time either. She had great structure, responded well to topping and training, and was resilient to pests.
The germination rate wasnβt as good as usual and finally got 3 different phenotypes from the 5 germinated seeds.
I topped them once and performed low stress training to get a flat canopy. The strong structure and rate of growth was impressive in the first 10 weeks which was actually a vegetative phase. They didnβt have any nutrient issues and even though they were under stress for two weeks (was my fault) in mid flowering, they performed really good. So it is a stress tolerant variety in my opinion.ππ±
The buds are large sized and fat with medium resin production and a different scent for each phenotype. They arenβt dense and sticky like some indicas, but that says nothing about their potency.
Flowering time was longer than the breeders recommendation but it's worth all the patience. Four plants were harvested 10 weeks after switched to 12/12 and one after 11,5 week.
The harvest took place in several phases and some were immediately trimmed, some were hung with leaves. Calyx to leaf ratio was high except one plant so was relatively easy to trim. Plants which were trimmed after drying was easier this time.πβοΈ
Based on the name, you'd really think it's a strong sativa strain but actually, this plant is a balanced hybrid, and it shows in both the growth characteristics and the effect.
I am satisfied how this grow turned out however I know that it could have been better without my mistakes. In those two mid flowering weeks when the VPN was off and they were in stress I lost both the yield and the quality of the bud structure.
So the total weight is 475 grams. 41 grams ore smaller airy popcorns and the rest are nice nuggets. I weighed the plants separately because I stored them also like this for later testing and smoke report.
@Qutro
The Liberty Sisters are certainly looking healthy and are almost as tall as my Liberty Haze. π Looking forward to watching the Liberty Sisters grow! Thanks for the holiday greeting! Peace, love, happy holidays and weed smoking to you fellow Gromie. π

Nice observations and an excellent plan. The Liberty Sister want to be trained, they just do not realize it yetπ.
Happy growing and tasty buds are coming your way!
Thanks a lot @peacepipe66.π
