This week was relatively uneventful, continued growth from all 4 plants and really starting to see some heavy trichome production on both of the Barney’s strains, Pineapple Chunk and Blue Sunset Sherbert. Definitely seeing trich production on both Dutch Passion Critical Orange Punch as well, just no where near as pronounced at this time. I have continued to struggle with humidity issues, and this week I discovered green algae forming on some perlite in the Blue Sunset Sherbert pot. Upon further review the coco was definitely over saturated, however the other 3 plants were fine and showed no issues. Around this time I also noticed a super pungent musty smell in the tent, I have throughly checked all plants and see no indication of bud rot or root rot, WPM, or any other mold or mildew. Following a recommendation from @Addonexus, I added several feet of ac tubing to my air intakes on each side of the tent. Since doing this, I have noticed a significant decrease in RH, currently 64% down from mid 70s mid week. Thank you for the tip! I will continue to work on lowering this and may need to just buckle down and get a bigger dehumidifier. I’m also feeding less more often, in hopes that this helps avoid overwatering (and maybe humidity) issues going forward. Fingers crossed this weeks sees continued progress, and decreased humidity.

I’m experiencing a lot of yellowing that progresses into dark red blotches. I suspected a possible cal mag deficiency but after upping the dose multiple times I’m still having issues. Any recommendations on possible causes/treatments? Temp stays between 74-76, humidity around 60%

I'm starting to suspect the onset of lock out. Your ph isn't bad but not great for where you're at in her growth. I'd lower it to around 6-5.8 to get better up take of nutrients for the late stage in veg/bloom transition. Also you have quite the powerful light and even though twenty inches might seem high enough it does look like some light burn on some of your canopy so maybe try raising your light first for an easy fix as well as adjusting your ph for uptake. Hope this helps.

Very interesting journal so far, do you typically plant into the final container as your initial transplant? In regard to your humidity issue have you tried adding a decent length of a/c tubing to the lower circular openings on your tent? I have roughly three feet of tubing coming out and running perpendicular to the side of my 4x4 on each side, no light leak issues and good airflow. I know coco has to be wet for the most part, and constant irrigation is recommended however would it be worth the risk of mold or mildew on your forthcoming fat buds? It may be possible to reduce the feeding consistency and or volume of water to help control the humidity. An example would be more frequent feedings but less volume, think wet but not saturated, and possibly drying back in the same day. Next time you go to feed as you normally would, check your humidity before the feed and see if there is a noticeable difference sometime after. In closing how is the weather where you are, is it typically humid and or raining atm, I ask because it appears that your tent is either outside and or in a garage. The humidity could be coming from an external source as your fan sucks it in. Good luck with your grow!

@Addonexus, thanks for the input and thanks for checking out my grow! I do not usually transplant directly to the final container, ideally I would have transitioned from the cups to a 1 gallon, then 3 gallon, then final pot in the 5 gallon bags. This was my first time using self buffered coco and I chose to transplant directly to the final pot purely out of convenience, I wasn’t sure how long the buffered coco would keep prior to using, and didn’t want to go through all that work 3 times haha. Very good idea on the extra ducting for the air intakes, my tent is in my basement, and it has been rainy this past month so could definitely be a contributing factor. I think I am going to take your advice and add some ducting to my intakes and see how that helps. I’ve also eased up a bit on my watering frequency, in hopes that that helps. I definitely do not want any bud rot or root rot and know with my RH where it is risks are high. All of the strains I’m growing have decent mold resistance, but that doesn’t mean it still couldn’t happen and that would be a blow for sure. Thanks again for the input & advice, happy growing!

Hey dad! The setup looks great. You should give mom a call letting her know where you are. We haven’t seen you ever since you told us you were going out to the store for a carton of milk.
