Three words describe these past few weeks: Growth, Growth, and Growth! All of the plants have developed multiple branches that are reaching for the sky... as if they're somehow competing with one another.
First, nutrition remains dialed in. This past week has seen modest increases in both Terpinator and Rock Resinator supplements. I've also noticed a world of difference in the Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus versus Fox Farm's Bush Doctor label. I've continued to add a small dose of Great White to each of my feedings.
Second, this week saw a substantial increase in lighting from the mighty PhotoBio MX. I made the decision to increase the ladies lighting from 60% to 75%. My logic is that the plants are experiencing a growth spurt, so why not give these ladies what they want? And this leads to another significant improvement in my setup...
Third, I rerouted the exhaust and ventilation system components to the exterior of the grow tent. I did so because I was literally at the point of running out of space to raise the height of the PhotoBio MX. I did not want to subject the ladies to light burn and I am hesitant to begin super-cropping at this relatively later stage. It was a pain in my rear-end but the results speak for themselves. I've bought at least another foot-and-change of space for these ladies to grow. And, honestly, this will probably be the setup that I continue to use into future grows.
Unfortunately, the status quo is somewhat bittersweet as I made the decision to cull my Apricot Oreoz plant. She was a runt; her growth was stunted to the extent that she was not fully flowering in synchrony with her sisters. Further, her growth stopped weeks ago after the other plants shaded her out of available lighting from the mighty PhotoBio MX. Ultimately, her memory will live on through the available space for her surviving sisters to develop horizontal growth.
Otherwise, there is nothing else to report. We are confidently moving forward towards further robust growth. Until next week...
Does anyone have any experience with growing Anesia's Apricot Oreoz seeds? The plant seems to be experiencing a Cal-Mag related nutrient deficiency that the others are not. All plants are being grown under the same conditions. Any suggestions?
She may not have needed the same amounts of food. Always check your runoff waters ph and ec before reacting. Ph can creep when to much salts start building up in the substrate

@FarmerJon, hmm, keep in mind that overwatering is the most common problem & use a ph/ec tester if you use chemical nutritions, hope thats a little bit helpful:)
I am not sure why but when I try to look at your new diary it says it isn't even there. but i've followed it I can see that it exists. I've seen it recommended and I can see it has been harvested but it just will not let me go in there to look at it. Hopefully you had another good grow. 👍
@WatercanWampa, I'm sorry to hear that, buddy. It was a good grow, and with fairly decent results, too. With that said, the next grow will be featuring some exotic breeds that'll hopefully delight anyone who stumbles into my profile.

@WatercanWampa, I definitely hope so. I'm kicking myself a little because I wrote off Purpinator as a largely useless supplement for people who are obsessed with all things purple... only to realize that I, too, desire the "purplest" (not sure if that's even a word) of nugs. So I've only been supplementing with Purpinator for a couple of weeks. I don't think it'll be enough time - particularly at this later stage - to heavily influence the coloration of the plants, but some of the fan leaves are starting to "purple up", as it were, so I suppose I'll take that small victory.
As to the Frozen Black Cherry in particular, its pistils are taking a bit longer to darken up. I don't know whether this is a feature of the strain or a bug in terms of its development - it's fattening up just fine, but her pistils are white like pure wavelengths from the sun. So we'll see what happens, I suppose.

@Rangaku, Thanks, Brother! I can comfortably assure you that these genetics are top-notch, particularly regarding the Brothers Grimm seeds. They definitely don't disappoint.
