Week 6: Preparing for flowering Timelaps : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmNSPcljTOQ Hello dear weed friends, I’m back with my sixth weekly report on my grow with four different strains: Lemon Gelato, Orange Sherbert, Apple Fritter and Bruce Banner. This week was very exciting for me, because I trained my plants further and prepared for the switch to the flowering phase. But I also had some setbacks and challenges to overcome. Here are the details: My plants have developed extremely well compared to my first grow. They are all very bushy and have formed many branches. My net is almost full, but I will wait another week to allow all plants to reach the net. I hope that I can switch to flowering next Sunday. That means that I will change my light cycle from 18/6 to 12/12. This will stimulate the plants to form flowers and show their sex characteristics. This week was unfortunately not only pleasing, but also sad. I ripped off one of the main branches of the Lemon Gelato by too much pressure :( That made me extremely sad, because it was one of the most beautiful and strongest branches. I think that the plant will recover, but it is very unfortunate that it hits this special strain, of which there are only limited seeds. Apart from that, there are also other small problems. The Apple Fritter is as you can see in the pictures the largest and will make me work to keep it down. It grows very fast and has already reached the net. I will have to tie it down further to control its growth. The Bruce Banner is unfortunately very small and will cause me problems with its height if it does not make a jump this week. It is the smallest of all and has a lot of space in the net. I hope that it gains some more before I go into flowering. It was apart from my loss a great week for me, because they have developed extremely well in my opinion. I am very proud of my plants and look forward to the flowering phase. Furthermore, I would like to mention that my four-week vacation is now over and I will soon have more time for the community and my grow again. I visited Holland and Spain in my vacation and it was a great experience. There were delicious strains and plenty of sun, but now it’s time to get back to work. My favorite of this vacation was a Gorilla Glue that I bought in Amsterdam. It was of unforgettable taste and effect. I will do a defoliation tomorrow to improve the air circulation and light penetration. Then I will leave them until the lollipopping, which means that I will remove the lower leaves and branches to concentrate the energy on the upper buds.
